Our Leogang apartments are located in an ideal sunny position close to village centre, supermarket, sports shops post office and tourist info are all nearby.We are directly on walking/cycle path in a quiet residential area with a children's play park less the 25 mtrs away,and a super outdoor swimming pool/ tennis 100mtrs. Bike World is 1 Km. The Ski area of Leogang is reached by the Asitz gondola just 1Km away. The ski bus runs regularly. Excellent ski schools offer group & private tuition for all abilities with English speaking instructors. Nearby is Zell am See for a lively night out is a bustling winter/ summer resort with many water based sports around the lake, 2 beautiful golf courses and shops, bars & good restaurants. Kaprun Glacier for year round skiing is 30 minutes away and a Ski Alpin or SuperSalzburg ski pass covers the Ski Circus Saalbach/Hinterglemm/Leogang and Europa Sport Region of Zell/Kaprun, plus many other nearby ski areas. Salzburg for sightseeing 1hr away
Winter:
In addition to ski and snowboarding it is possible to enjoy many other activities.Cross country skiing is well catered for with widespread trails available.The nearby resort of Hochfilzen -15 minutes away is famous for high altitude snow sure trails and equipment can be hired locally .Other winter activities are snow shoe walking through the forests, or it is possible to experience the local scenery from the comfort of a horse sleigh ride. For the adventure seekers there is a high rope garden and ice karting . Leogang is linked with the famous Saalbach / Hinterglemm Ski Circus opening a vast ski area for all abilities.A little further away in Zell am See is a swimming pool and also ice rink for skating .Kaprun is less than half an hour away for snow sure glacier skiing.A ski pass is available for the both ski circus and Zell, Kaprun and glacier.Great value
Night-life is fairly limited but family friendly with the majority being centred around the cozy bars and pubs scattered around
Children:
Children are well catered for in Leogang .In winter they receive a LEO card from us which offers various discounts e.g. 10% ski school 15% equipment rental a free meal from a child’s menu at one of the mountain restaurants, 50% off tobboggan rental. The NEW Summer LOWEN card launched for 2009 offers unlimited free entrance for the whole family who stay with us to- the swimming pool in Leogang, the outdoor pool in Saalfelden and Ritzensee the natural lake swimming pool in Saalfelden. Daily free return trip on the Asitz cable car in Leogang and unlimited use of the Biberg chair lift in Saalfelden.Several guided walking tours each week, plus a weekly kids activity programme of pony riding,fishing,a visit to a cheese dairy and a day in the meadows learning all about nature.A taxi voucher per person for a journey of 12 Km or 2 journeys of 5km
For children from 2 yrs+ there is a full day care nursery - Villa Kunterbunt.Fully Qualified staff can look after children for half or full days
Ski:
Leogang part of the famous 'Skicircus' linked with the villages of Saalbach/ Hinterglemm.The vast area offers more than 200km of superb skiing . The Asitz gondola takes 12 minutes to whisk you to paradise . Many restaurants and huts offer ample eating opportunities. During the main season it is possible to enjoy evening skiing right in the centre of Leogang. The Schanteilift is open Tuesday and Thursday for floodlight skiing ,free with a ski pass ( more than 2 day ).On Monday evening is the free Leo Ski show . On Thursdays it is possible to try flodlight curling.Twice weekly the gondola is open to the middle station for evening tobogganing, rental is available . The restaurants on the mountain remain remains open on these evenings. Access the free with the 6 day ski pass.Wednesday afternoons you can try snow shoe walking,booking required. There are many cross country routes in Leogang and nearby in Hochfilzen a well known centre for cross country skiing tuition is available.
