Splendid holiday-cottage

This is a lovely old cottage with a pretty garden. It's clean, well-maintained, spacious and very cosy. The interior pictures on the website don't do the place justice.
And the owner Lisa is so kind and helpful!
We arrived in the middle of the night and so much appreciated the scones, clotted cream, jam - and wine - that was waiting for us in the kitchen.
From the main bedroom you can see the English Channel and the lighthouses of Lizard Point and you can go for wonderful walks on the cliffs, with beautiful wild flowers on the ground and with breathtaking views.
There are a few shops up the road where you can buy milk and cookies and postcards - and where you're children will be excited spending their money on cheap toys! But otherwise one shops in Helston, a very nice town.
We had a car and drove around Cornwall every day, as far as up to Boscastle and Widemouth Beach. We love the beach at Trebarwith, and the gardens of Trebah and Heligan. Padstow wasn't quite our cup of tea, too many tourist and touristshops. But we love the work of artist David Pearce who run the gallery Padstow Fine Art in Lanadwell street.
Nothing is as blue as the sky and the ocean in St Ives a sunny day and Tate St Ives is a very good gallery, with a view of the sea that is unbelievable.
On The Lizard you can go to Roskilly Farm, where you can have a tasty meal and eat their fabulous icecream. Another icecream to look for in shops is the one from Helsett Farm, outside Boscastle. It tastes heavenly!
Gweek Seal Sanctuary and Newquay Zoo is fun for children and maybe teenagers.
And in the evening, when you're tired - it's great to get back to the cottage!
