The 'Bastides hotelières du Verdon' is a domain of 40 hectares composed of 4 very comfortable Bastides (Provencal country house). Property typical of Provence where we made a point of preserving biodiversity and the traditional essences, (thyme, lavenders, rosemary), crossed by a river that follows its small valley and stretches over from the village entrance (300 m), La Verdière up to the frontier of Varages village on 2 km.

Les Lavandes and Les Bles will welcome you in a charming atmosphere in a holm oak cocoon not overlooked; you will be enchanted by the scents of Provence and rocked by the birds' songs. Les Chardons and L'Insolite will invite you to discover the happy union between the modern world and the country, as they benefit from a free view over nature as far as your eyes can see, under the benevolent eye of La Verdiere, one of the most typical Provençal villages and its castle that overlooks our valley. In the morning, you will witness a file of bunnies that come to drink in the river of the valley of our estate before the amazed eyes of your children.

Some of our specialities from courses like the 'Route des Lavandes', the Wine Road, etc. The Aups truffles, the lavender honey, the olive oil, our wines from the hillside of the Var to the Cotes de Provence, our colourful markets, our craftwork and its making process that you can discover in our workshops like the Moustiers and Varages faience, Salernes' terra cottas and other 'Santons', traditional products famous in the entire world. The thermal baths and casino of Greoux-les-Bains, the Aix-en-Provence festivals, the Museum of Quinson, regional golfs, the Saubt-Maximim basilica... The Verdon gorges with its lakes and numerous water and outdoors activities, its international Museum of Prehistory, etc.

La Verdiere in the Verdon park: La Verdière is one of the most beautiful perched villages, typical from the Haut-Var, nestled against its castle very well restored by its owner who tried to keep its traditional character (visit possible), on the hilltop, secluded from main tourist roads.
When you arrive at La Verdière, you are stunned by the defensive aspect it features. Placed in concentric pattern around the heart of the village, the houses rise like ramparts, high, close to one another, with their windows looking like embrasures. This shape is probably inherited from the Middle age of the religious wars, when villages used to gather to resist the attacks. The entry in La Verdière offers more tranquillity, with blooming frontages, peaceful shops, and the laughters that escape from the houses. The streets are pleasant, intricate and narrow, but nevertheless easily accessible. They slightly lead you to the castle. The castle of La Verdière is a private estate, listed historical site since 1986 and skilfully restored by its owner in the purest tradition. Every summer, this history lover opens the heavy doors of this prestigious fortress, on the footsteps of our past. La Verdière is a small village located in the middle of the woods of Haut-Var where you will get the chance to hike through many paths! A few kilometres further, the Verdon Gorge or the lakes of Sainte-Croix will offer you all the water sports and nature you like.
