The Florida Region:
Florida is America's leisure & pleasure capital where carefree relaxation and lazy, hazy days reign supreme. Few destinations can lay claim to 360 days of glorious sunshine every year, yet Florida manages this with ease.
Everything from white sandy beaches and wetlands to the most famous theme park on the planet comes sun-drenched, earning America's south- easterly strip the nickname ' sunshine state ' with good reason.
Yet Florida isn't just a sun trap - far from it. You can swim with dolphins, hit the fairways on 1,400 golf courses, enjoy some of the finest seafood in America and experience unforgettable sunsets. Florida also boasts some of the most magnificent wildlife on earth in landscape of lagoons, marshlands, palm forrests and ochre creeks - and if all this gets too much, your never more than 60 miles from a beach.
Florida offers something for everyone.
The Kissimmee Area:
Kissimmee does things in a slightly less showy way than Orlando, given its hometown sentiment and cow-town origins. Cattle auctions and rodeos, in fact, are still a way of life in the historic downtown area of this town.
Horseback riding, a petting farm and a folksy historic park reflect the low key temperament here, although themed family resorts, water parks and other such hyper activity centres are just up the road.
