Midi Pyrénées has plenty of Roman architecture, especially at the Pyrenees foothills, there are many chapels and churches with frescoes open to the public. The Gargas caves with the painted hands and animals, St. Just and St. Bertrand de Comminges basilicas, in the way of St James, listed by UNESCO as a world heritage site, as well as many other villages nestled in the valley.

Those who love walking may discover mills in the signposted places, as well as sheepfolds, cascades and many colourful lakes.

The fauna and flora are noteworthy as well as an arboretum.

Other benefits: The proximity to Spain (8 km away) allows you discover another culture and different gastronomy.

Excellent rental in a great location

Three cyclists and a non riding spouse on a cycling vacation for two weeks in the Pyrenees, the first week we stayed at this lovely rental in Luchon.

The house has a perfect location, just off the main street in town, all the restaurants & cafes and are just a short walk away. There is also a small convenience market and numerous bakeries close by as well as the thermal baths. We would typically start the day by grabbing a number of items at one of the bakeries. The house faces away from the main street and towards a garden so is both quiet and stays cool even in the summer heat. Nice patio in front of the house that worked great for relaxing after a hard day riding. There is private parking which was great to not have to worry about our rental cars.

The house itself is quite large, lots of room for everyone to spread out and with 3 bathrooms there was no fighting over the showers/baths. A very nice large kitchen with everything one would need cook for many people. We used the wifi and laundry which both worked great.

The owners were very helpful and couldn't have been nicer. We had a great week and would highly recommend this rental to anyone looking for an outstanding house in the Luchon area.

Fantastic

We loved everything about this home. The location was perfect. We enjoyed bike rides from our front door to Superbagneres, Paragliding, Le Tour, Farmers market, hot springs and more. The owners were very welcoming and friendly. They provided great tips to enjoy the area. The home itself is perfect for a small group and has all the amenities you need. We enjoyed many of our meals outside under a beautiful tree while listening to jazz music from across the way,

We would recommend this home to anyone and we look forward to our next visit.

Great place to stay

Three of us stayed in the chalet for a cycling holiday and it was perfect. Comfortable and well-equipped, and the owner was very welcoming. It's also worth noting how centrally located the property is, set back from the high street of this quiet town. Couldn't have wished for more. We'll definitely be back next year.

Un havre de paix en plein coeur de ville.

Nous avons séjourné une semaine dans cette maison très agréable et fonctionnelle où nous n'avons jamais eu l'impression de manquer de place. La situation est idéale: en plein centre-ville, doté d'un immense jardin, les remontées mécaniques sont au bout de la rue et les commerces ne manquent pas! Un grand merci à nos hôtes, toujours à l'écoute et sachant se rendre disponibles à toute heure. En résumé, un petit coin secret où nous ne manquerons pas de revenir !

2 jours formidables dans un cadre parfait. La maison, très spacieuse et très bien équipée se situe vraiment près des télécabines, ce qui permet d'être rapidemment sur les pistes.

Parfait!

Nous étions 10 avec 4 générations présentes ( de 4 mois à 89 ans) et ce n'est pas toujours évident de concilier les besoins. Là, aucun problème.

La maison est spacieuse, on ne se marche pas sur les pieds. Très bien équipée, des commodités en nombre et qualité, un accueil très sympa sans être envahissant...bref un excellent séjour.

Nous conseillons vivement cette maison.
