Welcome to "Villa La Loire" ! This large and attractive apartment has a side view on the Castle of Amboise, and looks directly out on its fortifications and the "Tower des Minimes". Its quietness, the vicinity of the Loire river, visible from the apartment (just 50 meters from the house), and its private garden will charm you. The house itself , that dates back up to the 17 th Century ( some peope say 16 th Century), is located in a small street, in which are only two houses, our own house and the Manor of the Minimes, which is presently a four stars hotel. The latter and our house were part of the land of the Congregation of the Minimes, the ancient oratory of which stands along the cliff, in our garden.

My daughter and I stayed at the delightful apartment in Amboise for 8 nights. The accommodations were extremely comfortable and the Picards were very helpul and gracious landlords. We particularly liked all the books that were at our disposa. The apartment had all the modern conviences and the decor was beautifully done with antique furnishings and a different theme in each bedroom. The location is ideal to explore Amboise and the entire Loire Valley. Highly recommend this apartment to friends and family!

A wonderful week in Amboise

We spent a wonderful week at the apartment. It was quiet and peaceful with a breathtaking view of Amboise Castle from all of the bedrooms. The rooms were spacious and elegant, and Veronique and Etienne could not have been more helpful and kind, from sending us information about the area to picking us up jet lagged from the train station to assisting us with our car rental. We loved it. What an introduction to France.
Recommended for:  Adventure Seekers, Girls Getaway, Tourists without a Car, Sightseeing, Families with Young Children, Romantic Getaway
