The cottage has been renovated throughout, keeping all its charm and character with stone walls and original oak beams. This one bedroom cottage has everything a couple by themselves or with a small child would need to enjoy a fabulous break in the beautiful Charente. Kitchen/lounge/dining room-Large and sunny with French doors, open plan kitchen with fridge, freezer, electric oven, hob, washing machine, microwave. Dining area comfortable and spacious, lounge area with French doors, tiled floors throughout, and a wood burning stove for cosy cooler nights. The cottage is equipped with TV videos and CD's, 2 sets of French doors lead onto your own private patios with patio furniture and BBQ. Bedroom-Lovely large room with king size bed, fresh white bedding, and original features, electric heater and hairdryer. Bathroom-A huge room with full size bath shower laundry cupboard and again beams and white washed stone walls.

In an idyllic countryside location, as it appears to be in the middle of nowhere, the cottage is only a two minute walk into the picturesque village , with its own bar and church. 3Km from the twice weekly market town of Champagne Mouton, with bars restaurant and boulangerie, chemist, supermarket, estate agents etc. 20 Minutes away is Confolens famous for its world wide traditional music festival.20 minuets to Ruffec with an array of French bars cafes shops selling local produce and wine, with the larger supermarkets. 15 Minutes to the beautiful river at Condac, bathing and water sports. Larger lakes towns and the coast 1 to 1and a half hours drive away.

This Poitou charentes best kept secret. We had a lovely holiday here and we would definately come back. The gite is beautiful and very comfortable (especially the bed). The location is marvellous and the owners are lovely, we couldn't have asked for more. We enjoyed France from a different angle as we explored the area using the bikes provided by the owners, which was excellent and it is the way to do it !! It is a place to chill out on fine wines, fresh own grown vegetables (supplied by the owners) and marvellous food whilst having a dip in the pool and soaking up the sun. What more come one ask for. You have such a beautiful place and thank you for a wonderful relaxing week. Vickie and Mick, Nottingham x

This is a beautiful, well-maintained property in a peaceful, tranquil setting. The facilities are plentiful and the the family are, warm, helpful and friendly.
We had a brilliant, relaxing holiday here and would recommend it highly.

Thankyou for a wonderful,tranquil holiday,The Gite is beautifully done we have enjoyed relaxing here and exploring the countryside and surrounding villages.
