Le Domaine de la Baronne will, without doubt, leave you with a lasting impression: modern comfort and amenities combined with classic furnishings render this chalet into a truly unique place. Recently the chalet is enriched with a new jacuzzi, sauna and fitness. Over the years many famous personalities have enjoyed the chalet and its gorgeous views over the Rhone Valley with many 4000 meters + mountains, including the Weisshorn (4505), the Matterhorn / Cervin (4477), the Mont Blanc (4807), the Dent Blanche (4357).

The chalet is situated at 1,300 metres 3 km from the ski lifts. A car is recommended, also because of the lay out of the resort two centers (Crans and Montana). There is 160 km lenth of pistes (including the gletcher at 3,000 metres) which are all connected. Whithin 15 kilometres there are three golf courses.

Crans-Montana has so much to offer: High mountains (with a glacier on 3,000 metres), for summer and winter skiing, cross country skiing. Authentic places like Sion and Vale d’Anniviers will make your holiday very enjoyable. Taste the real Valaisan atmosphere in the local restaurants and pubs. There is a very adequate choice of some 80 restaurants, some 20 bars, there is a casino, cinema's etc. And don't forget the après ski.

The chalet is located in Bluche, a small village which is situated next to Crans-Montana. Bluche has four restaurants and a small supermarket.

Ski:

Below the 3000m high glacier Plaine Morte one finds a skiing area which leaves nothing to be desired. Skiers and snowboarders from beginners to experts will all find a vast choice of suitable slopes. Besides skiing and snowboarding you can have a go at ski bobbing or, if you favour a less adrenaline pumping pastime, langlauf.

As it lies well above the snow line you can ski year round on Plaine Morte.

The lower pistes have a very good track record regarding snow cover. In addition there are more then 150 snow machines which help in keeping the pistes in first class condition. The Crans -Montana-Aminona area is served by a large number of modern ski-lifts. Ques are therefore virtually unkown.

An attractive feature of the Crans -Montana- Aminona resort is that you can cover the entire area, from Crans Cry'd Erre in the west until Aminona in the east, skiing. Bus or car transfers to reach certain lifts are not necessary.

Golf:

There are three 18 hole golf courses are found in the region, day tickets can be bought for about 40 EUR :

in Crans, in Sierre (15 kiometres) and Sion (20 kilometres). For further details, please ask us.

Family De Grave: We had a great time, it is a lovely character house which we will not forget, definitely we will come back next year.
Anthony von Dückersheim: Two weeks of holiday, the others skied all days. I preferred to stay in the chalet and enjoyed very much the spa, the heated balconies and the lovely never boring views.
Family Goedegeburen: This was our first summer holiday in the Alps. I didn't know that there was so much to do and to see.

STUNNING VIEW!!!

We had a fabulous ski holiday. We were with two families with in total 14 people. The chalet is wonderful, homely, very warm and comfortable with two wonderful log fires and fabulous views over many alps of 4,000+ metres. Although we come already since years (8!) it is each time again a great experience to first take a sauna right after skiing and then go in the jaccuzzi outside in the snow watching the sunset with a glass of wine in your hand. I love the combination of old character with modern comfort. The bedrooms are spacious and practical and there is a Canotzet and grand salon, although we were with a big group we still all had our privacy. We are not sure if we go skiing next year, however if we go we book definitely again."

Top for big families with children

"We had a wonderful time in the chalet La Baronne. It is a fantastic typical European high standard chalet. We really thought we lived in our own house, it was so cosy and spacious. Despite of all the beautiful objects in the house we were not afraid for our little children they would damage anything. There were 16 of us including 8 very young children. Crans Montana has a amazing place for teaching our little kids to ski: the golf! The owner arranged 2 nannies for us and a super chef from Italy. The only moment we did not like was when we had to head back home to the big apple. Thank you family Jurgens, we loved your place!

Spacieux, belle vue, calme et confort

"Chalet spacieux avec vraiment une très belle vue sur la vallée du Rhone et le Val d'Anniviers. Le chalet est agréablement meublé, classique, mais quand- même beaucoup de confort.Calme absolu, excellente exposition, cinq minutes de la cabine quí t'amène aux pistes à 3000 mètres. Chambres exceptionnelement spacieuses. Nos enfants ont 'habité' ou dans le jacuzzi extérieur ou dans la cave ou se trouve un home cinéma!
