3 Superbly Appointed Apts with large pool and gardens

Three one bedroom apartments in Sunset Crest, Hole town on the West Coast one looks directly over the pool and the others on the third floor . All the apartments have a superb view of the beautiful gardens from the balcony.

The photos show the apartments with the captions identify each one. They are all very different Apt 1 is ours and we manage the other 2 for friends.

They are well maintained and cared for as we pride ourselves on our high standards. They are fitted with everything you need for a relaxing holiday.

You will find a new pool deck and sun loungers, bar and restaurant all situated in the large gardens.

The apartments are in a superb position 5 min walk to the shops, bars and restaurants in Holetown, which is the up and coming place to stay in Barbados and the West Coast. There is a beach a short walk away with many more to choose from.

Try our cafe bar in the centre of the chattel village Cafe Bar Carizma for breakfast, lunch and Thursday night authentic Tapas . Sample an excellent lunch from one of the street vendors, where the food is truly Bajan and freshly cooked. For well priced good quality food visit Zaccio's a 5 min walk away with happy hour 4:30 to 6:00 its where everyone meets to watch the fabulous sunsets. Read our information booklet when you book for much more detail.

Out and about in Barbados : There are so many places to visit and so much to do, and so little time but don't hurry. Although you don't need to hire a car as the public transport is so good, it is fun to hire a mini moke or jeep and find all those places yourself.

The rugged and wild East coast is not to be missed visit Bathsheba then drive down to Bottom Bay this everything you would imagine a Caribbean beach to look like. Take some food and drink with you and have a picnic. Check if there is any horse racing on at the Garrison in Bridgetown, this always guarantees a good afternoon. Polo is a great way to spend and afternoon in the Winter months and the Holders season in March every year is superb . In fact there is something different to do an see every month of the year.

A must is a Catamaran Cruise either with a group of people or book one just for you try Wasn't Me, Captain Ron will take you anywhere, swim with the turtles or just cruise up and down the coast.

A large 1 bedroom apartment on the third floor . Just to the left of the pool and overlooking the gardens. The apartment has a great homely and colonial atmosphere, with comfortable seating in the living area, dining table and fully fitted kitchen with every appliance you could wish for. The bedroom has fitted wardrobes and large twin beds. An en suite bathroom with bath and shower. The living room opens out on to a balcony with table and chairs and 2 day beds at each end. There are fans in every room and air conditioning in the bedroom which is free of charge. A great place for a relaxing holiday , enjoy the beautiful gardens , superb swimming pool, beaches and all that Holetown has to offer just 5 mins down the road. We manage this apt for our friends.

The apartment was very good, clean and well laid out with beautiful views over the gorgeous gardens and swimming pool. There was a chinese restaurant on the site which also provided a take away service. The reception staff could not have been more helpful. There were many shops, bars, restaurants and a supermarket well within walking distance and also, of course , a beautiful beach. For trips further afield there were cabs and buses and tours. The Barbadans are lovely helpful people and very friendly. The site was quiet, with plenty of sun loungers and chairs and tables. There were lots of birds and also green monkeys could be seen if you were lucky (which we were !!). I would recommend this site and apartment to anyone. A very nice time was had by all of us .

LOVELY APARTMENT

We stayed here back in December 2009 and enjoyed our time spent here. The apartment is well equipped and clean with lots of home comforts.

The grounds and pool were also very nice.

The balcony was also good for us as we mainly scuba dived whilst out there so great for putting and drying equipment.

The chinese Restaurant opposite is very good aswell as the restaurants down second street are all very good- altho the Italian was hard to get a table.

The only thing that I really missed was a non stick frying pan lol!

SUPERB APARTMENT, GREAT LOCATION

The apartment is in a 4 storey block situated in a quiet location on the edge of the Sandy Lane estate and within a 5–10 min walk of the centre of Holetown. Here we found numerous restaurants to suit all tastes and budgets, supermarket, banks, numerous shops in the Chattel Village and shopping mall and of course a beautiful beach.

We stayed for 2 weeks at the beginning of August and have nothing but high praise for this apartment being spotlessly clean and well- appointed with every facility one could want. There was plenty of storage space for clothes including a walk-in wardrobe where a safe-deposit box which had been installed immediately prior to our arrival.

The balcony faces west overlooking the gorgeous gardens and, with its comfortable sofas, provided an ideal setting to take an early evening rum punch or two as the sun set. Because the complex was not crowded, we were frequently the only ones using the large pool with its numerous sunbeds giving us plenty of opportunity for relaxing, cooling swims. The poolside Chinese restaurant offered a great value-for-money menu and the option of a takeaway proved a real bonus.

Although buses run frequently from just about anywhere to anywhere, we hired a car for a week in the middle of the holiday and this gave us the maximum opportunity to visit beaches, restaurants, roadside cafés and fruit stalls and any number of interesting places.

Nowhere is more than about 30 mins drive from Holetown. There are loads of beaches to choose from and a few we would recommend are those at the Crane, Dover and Mullins Bay.

We were in Barbados for the Kadooment, the culmination of the Crop-Over festival celebrating the sugar cane harvest. This is an absolute must at this time of year, a fantastic carnival atmosphere with all its associated multi-coloured costumes, dancing, music, food, drink and stalls.

Being early August we knew the weather could be a little “mixed” but the rain we had seemed to occur during the night, early in the morning while we were still gathering our thoughts or in the early evening while we were eating. Cloud bubbled up at various times but the days were hot and generally mostly sunny.

All-in-all a wonderful holiday helped, certainly by the accommodation, but also by Anita’s customer service and many helpful suggestions and also by Audrey, our Bajan maid who although we saw her only once a week, seemed to sum up all that is Barbados – friendly, helpful and relaxed.

GREAT ACCOMODATION IN IDEAL LOCATION

Frank and Margaret stayed at Apartment 2 at the end of February and first 2 weeks of March 2009 and on entering we felt at home and knew we would be comfortable. It has clean bright decor, nice layout and very well equipped kitchen for a self catering holiday although we ate out at local eateries half of the time. There is ample storage space, a fair sized bathroom with bath and shower and plenty of hot water. Air conditioning is available but we never actually used it, we found the ceiling fans adequate for keeping cool. There is a good selection of books both in the apartment and in the meeting room situated on the same floor so you could save some room and weight in your luggage! We found the good sized balcony overlooking the well kept garden an excellent retreat for sundowners before dinner.
The complex is very peaceful with nice gardens and lovely pool with sun beds and garden furniture always available either in the sun or in the shade under trees. The location is ideal, close to lovely beaches, handy for buses to almost anywhere, only 5 minutes walk through a park to a well stocked supermarket and shops and close to many types of restaurants to suit most pockets. We enjoyed early morning walks on the beach or around the Sandy Lane Estate. The detailed walk left in the apartment for visitors was a good starting point and once we got our bearings we varied it for long, medium or short walks depending on how energetic we felt on the day! Most mornings we met some of the green monkeys living in the area. They love bananas but beware, take more than one banana because once you offer the fruit they seem to appear in great numbers from all directions! A few even appeared in the garden of Golden View one lunchtime.
Although a car isn't essential we hired one for a couple of days to see some of the more remote places and after visiting some of the other holiday destinations on the South Coast we felt that the West Coast was the best place to be - especially Holetown and Port St Charles near to where Anita & Daves newly renovated rental cottage is situated. We hope to return to Barbados in the future and would not hesitate to stay in this or Apartment 1. Thanks to Anita for her help and guidance during our stay and to Audrey for her services

GREAT LAUNCH-PAD FOR EXPLORING BARBADOS

Our family of six stayed at both apartments on this, our first holiday to Barbados. We had a great time and return with many happy memories of a beautiful tropical location, populated by extremely friendly, helpful and courteous people.

The main apartment was very comfortable, tastefully furnished and well equipped. It had everything that we needed and we were able to relax fully. The air conditioning and the good fridge kept us chilled at this humid time of the year. The good supply of towels/linen, the washing machine and the regular visits of the maid ensured that we were clean n' tidy and able to manage on a practical level. The second apartment was more basic but absolutely fine for our three older children (late teens). The Air Con', T.V. and maid service were less reliable, but OK. We rate the accommodation as 'fantastic value' overall.

Dave and Anita were fab' in terms of Customer Service - providing a useful information pack and responding quickly to our needs. Their local knowledge, tips and advice was invaluable!

Both apartments have quick and easy access to a quiet, large and claen pool - great for cooling swims. We agreed that the location and security of the Golden View apartments were spot-on: lovely and quiet; well maintained; and within easy reach of local shops, restaurants etc.

There are many wonderful beaches nearby, perfect for snorkelling and enjoying the underwater landscape. We swam with turtles on 3 occasions - just amazing. Two of our family did 5 excellent scuba dives with reliable and good value diving firms.

The main 'Crop Over' festival in Bridgetown was equally spectacular - a wonderful atmosphere of dancing, costumes, drink/food, fun and community spirit. Everywhere we went, the Bajans were so welcoming and friendly - they could not do enough for us and were just delightful.

We hired a car for the fortnight. This was reliable, invaluable and inexpensive, enabling us to really get around the island - finding beaches, restuarants/side-of-road cafes and places of interest everywhere: seeing the beautiful landscape, villages and Bridgetown.

Bajan food is great! We enjoyed some top-rate restaurants, some excellent local snacks and amazing value side-of-the-road cafe (Rum Shop) meals with the locals.

We all want to return to Barvbados and will definitely use the apartments again as our launch-pad for enjoying this tropical paradise.

GREAT VALUE - SUPERB LOCATION - WELL APPOINTED APT

We have now spent two, one month holidays in Barbados and are eager to go back for more. So this was our second visit to this well appointed and comfortable apartment.

The owners have taken great care to make this a home that can be also enjoyed by visiting guests. The owners went out of their way to help us with our travel plans.

We have always gone in the first few months of the year and the weather has been excellent. It is a constant 25-29 degree C and never falls below 24 at night, but the sea air always makes it so fresh. Yes there is a short shower of rain most days to keep everything green and lush but the showers are short.

The air con in the bedroom does give you a chance to chll out. Audrey the local maid visited the appartment once a week. She always gave plenty of notice of the intended time of her visit and she ensured the appartment and linen was always clean.

So much to do and see in Barbados either with a hire car or by using the excellent bus service. The yellow buses are particularly good fund and a bit of an experience.On each occasion we only hired a car for 3 days to see the more in accessible parts of the island. The appartment is so close to the beach and the amenities in Holetown that a car was unnecessary.

There is good walking on the many country lanes and pathways near to the appartment or walk as far as you want on the beach and catch a bus back.

Eating out can be as cheap or as expensive as you wish to make it. We found some excellent restaurants nearby in Holetown and we eat at some very interesting Rum Shops for less than £3.50.

Holetown is probably the best location on the lsland to give you the greatest choice. It is not in the slightest way commercialised and has a great beach atmosphere. It is on the West coast where the beaches are excellent and the sea safe and warm.

The people are great. Barbadans must be the friendliest and most helpful people in the world. At no time did we feel insecure, it reminded us of the UK in years gone by when you saw police officers walking the streets and no groups of youths on street corners.

We would recomend the apartment owners, the apartment, the location, the climate, the local people, to anyone who wants a relaxing, safe holiday environment.

Lots to do or as little as you want to do.

We cannot wait to go back again.

Golden View Apartments are in the Sunset crest area of Hole town on the beautiful West Coast. Beach is only 5 min walk away. You will find chattel shops, supermarket, internet cafe, banks and boutiques just down the road. You are within walking distance to some of the best restaurants in Barbados.You are near to the Famous Sandy Lane hotel, in fact a walk up the road takes you through the estate and some of the most beautiful villas on the island. Walk to the famous 9 hole golf course for views of the island, flora and the famous monkeys, take a banana with you and they will feed straight from your hand. Take a walk down 1st street for Hole town nightlife, don't miss Sunday night Karaoke in the street even if you don't sing its an experience just being there. There are numerous beaches close by all as special as the next. The area is fun but relaxed, laid back and peaceful.try our cafe bar in the chattel village for great breakfast, lunch and the best coffee on the island . Ask about our tapas night with live music great fun .
