Tina and Franco welcome you to La Tinaia, their authentic Tuscan farmhouse winery.

The 4 apartments have been restored with particular care respecting the typicality of the place. They have terracotta-tiled floors and ceilings with beams and terracotta tiles . Each window is large and provides panoramic views of the beautiful surrounding countryside. The decor consists of furniture of the early 1900’s. It is particularly recommended for those who want to spend holidays under the sign of peace and visit cultural centers of Tuscany.

All the apartments have Sat TV, wi-fi and some have air conditioning. A holiday at La Tinaia becomes an ideal time to discover a unique artistic and naturalistic heritage and to sample the great quality of Florentine Chianti products: Chianti wine and extra virgin olive oil that we produce.

The large garden provides spaces for outside dining, pool, solarium, barbecue and leisure areas.

The farm holiday La Tinaia is located 15 minutes drive from downtown FLORENCE (10 km). FLORENCE can be reached very quickly by tramway from Scandicci at 5 min drive, departures every 5 min and free parking. The trip downtown is 15 min.

TUSCANY TOUR – In less than an hour you can reach the most important Tuscany's artistic and architectural heritage : VINCI, CERTALDO, S. GIMIGNANO, SIENA, PISA, VOLTERRA, LUCCA and the 'Chianti Classico' area with its charming villages.

The apartment LA VIGNA is very romantic and cosy. It is composed of a living-dining room with a fully equipped cooking area, one bathroom and one bedroom loft mezzanine. The apartment is located on the house's top floor. It was renovated with the greatest care and in the traditional local style, with terracotta floors, wooden beamed ceilings and ancient furniture. It has air conditioning, central heating, wi-fi and satellite TV. Each window of the apartment serves as a frame for a living painting. All the windows have mosquito screens.

About Tina Radassao

La Tinaia farm holiday was created from our love of this area and of nature, and from the desire to share, with friends from all over the world, the tranquillity, the beauty and fine living of this enchanting corner of Tuscany, only 15 minutes by car from Florence.

Franco and me (Tina) left the city life in Florence and the office work on '97 to start a new life in this countryside. We have restaured all the house by ourself with only few helps. The apartments have been personally designed, finished and furnished with particular care, to give you the feeling of “just like home'.

We learned growing olive trees and vineyard and making excellent Chianti wine and extra virgin olive oil.

After many years working very hard, we are very proud of our farmholiday 'La Tinaia' and of our top quality products.

The ample park-like grounds, in flower a good part of the year, provide a stupendous panorama of the surrounding countryside. This includes an area equipped for just “lazing around,” for eating al fresco and to enjoy the sun and the beautiful swimming pool with a panoramic view.

We fell in love with this place for its unspoiled nature, sweeping views and beautiful sunsets. We love nature but we also love Florence and the proximity to the town made ??us decide to live in this paradise.

The house was in state of abandonement and we have spent many years to restore it and transform it completely, trying to valorise its typical Tuscan architecture.

LA TINAIA is a typical tuscan farmhouse located in the absolutely natural area of the Chianti, among vineyards, olive groves and woods. The farmhouse is only 10 km from downtown Florence (15 minutes drive). The center of Florence can be reached very quickly by tramway from Scandicci stop, 5 min. drive from the estate, with departures every 5 min. and free parking place. The trip downtown is 15-18 min.. It will be a pleasure for us to make reservation at the museums.

In less than an hour you can reach the most important Tuscany's artistic and architectural heritage : FIESOLE; CERTALDO; S. GIMIGNANO, SIENA; PISA, VOLTERRA, LUCCA and the Chianti area villages.

For nature lovers, there are trekking and mountain biking paths.

Other Activities: Swimmingpool, Camp for bowls play, ping-pong.

La Tinaia is also a small WINERY which produce hight quality CHIANTI WINE. The transformation of the grapes, the ageing of the wine and bottling are carried out in the cellar estate.

We produce also top quality EXTRA VIRGIN OLIVE OIL.

Lovely stay at La Tinaia

Our family of three recently enjoyed a terrific six night stay at La Tinaia.

This agriturismo is ideally situated. The property is located about 15 minutes away from Florence, which can be accessed by either car or metro-train. Despite being close to the city, La Tinaia was tranquil-- with beautiful grounds that back onto a lush forest. Its location also served as a great base to begin exploring other Tuscan destinations--historic hill towns, vineyards and cities.

The proprietors, Tina and Franco, were warm, gratious and helpful. In addition to securing our reservations at museums in Florence, they also identified a few lesser traveled places of interest in Tuscany that proved worthwhile visiting.

Tina and Franco clearly take great pride in their property. Our apartment was extremely clean and comfortable. The kitchen was sufficiently equipped to enable us to prepare meals when we chose to. For even more ambitious cooks, there is a large common kitchen (with more amenities) available for all guests to use.

Overall, I would recommend La Tinaia to anyone, including families with children, who is interested in exploring Tuscany and experiencing a unique holiday experience. My husband, son and I would love to visit La Tinaia again in the future and would not hesitate to recommend it to our friends and family.

My husband and I spent our Honeymoon this September at La Vigna in the Tuscan hills with the kind hospitality of Tina and Franco.

They make you feel so welcome and are always available to help with any questions you may have; and Tina was happy to help when we phoned her for advice at the ticket machine down at the Scandicci tram stop.

The villa is up in the hills with beautiful views of Tuscany, amongst the olive groves and vines, it really was spectacular, in the sunshine and the thunder storms!

The apartment was clean, rustic and well supplied and we really felt at home, the swimming pool was a bonus!

The Italian countryside is truely beautiful and we will definately be returning one day.

Charming Tuscan home just minutes from Florence!

We stayed in the two bedroom apt this past May and had a wonderful time. The apartment looks just like it does in the pictures! The setting was perfect - right in the middle of vineyards and olive groves!

Tina and Marco were extremely helpful and flexible. The place was clean and extremely convenient as well (10-15 minutes by car/train from Florence). Tina provided us with maps and Marco helped plan our stay in the Tuscany region. We would love to come back and stay at La Tinaia again and would definitely recommend this place to others.

Lovely place to stay

This room and all of La Tinaia domain are very peacefull places managed by very nice people.
The rooms are quiet, lovely and the whole house is great. A lot of work have been done by Tina and Franco for more than 10 years, it was worth it !!
Their wine and olive oil are also really nice.
The mansion is located really close to Firenze, and one can visite Toscany easily.

If I had to do it, I would change nothing !

Dans le grand jardin les sens soront reveillés par les couleurs et les parfums méditerranéens, les vues splendides sur les vignes, les champs d'oliviers et le bois. En été la belle piscine panoramique est un vrais régal.
