One of the very few properties on the resort to have an 8 x 4 m heated pool, which is essential if you want to swim between Oct and May. The villa is thoughtfully furnished to a very high standard with many extras to help make an enjoyable family holiday. There are 4 bicycles available to use, a play station 2, internet access, a combination safe and a large flat screen TV/DVD/Video with satellite. There are several games and DVD's in the villa plus tennis rackets and lilo’s on request. The kitchen is very well equipped with everything you need for easy self catering. All baby equipment (from sterilizers to cots) can be arranged at a small extra cost. The resort itself has excellent facilities for families including a large communal pool, several restaurants, tennis, golf, spa gym and medical centre.

The Costa Calida is beautiful part of Spain, only recently discovered by overseas tourists. It boasts over 320 days of sunshine and an average daily temperature of 21' C. Mar Menor Golf Resort is the first of 7 Polaris World developments in the Murcia region, providing superb facilities and luxury accommodation. The Mar Menor (or little sea) is the largest inland sea in Europe and has lovely sandy beaches, a picturesque nature reserve and the famous mud flats with 'healing properties'. The historical Roman town of Cartagena is a 15 minute drive from MMGR, with an interesting port and amphitheatre. Murcia, the capital of the region, has a beautiful cathedral and many cosmopolitan shops and restaurants.

Additional information about rental rates

  • A £200 deposit is required to secure your booking. This also acts as a breakages deposit. The full rental amount is due 8 weeks prior to departure. The deposit is returned within 21 days in full, provided the villa is left in a satisfactory condition and all keys returned. There is a changeover fee of 80 euros payable locally to the couple who look after our villa, Tim and Wendy Scott. Mid stay changes of linen and towels can be arranged. Pool heating is available at an optional additional cost of £60 per week. Long term lets offer a substantial discount. A 10% discount is offered to returning guests.

Golf: The villa is surrounded by a nine hole golf course (soon to be extended to 18). The Jack Nicklaus promoted par 36 course is earning a good reputation amongst local golfers and the driving range offers an excellent opportunity for extra practice. There are many other courses in the region including 3 championship courses at La Manga, Villa Martin, Los Ramblas and Mosa Trajectum. The latest Polaris World Golf Resort to open is La Torre, approximately 10 mins away. This resort has an 18 hole golf course now open with a buffet restaurant, social centre and two bars.

We had a fabulous holiday in your villa - I can't think of any villa we have stayed in (and we've stayed in a few) that has been as good. It was everything we could have hoped for. Kay 06/06/2007
We enjoyed a fantastic week at your villa, the little ones spent all their time in the pool and gardens and I could relax and even had time to read two books. The resort was so nice and safe, the older girls used the bikes and made some good friends. Tim and Wendy were lovely and really went out of their way to make us feel at home.

We thoroughly enjoyed our holiday - your villa is beautiful and perfect for a nice relaxing break. Everything was to a high standard and very homely with a well fitted out kitchen.
