Enjoyed our stay from mid-Feb. to April 1,2008. Had a problem with the pool heater but was compensated by Paul, after problem fixed. On a negative comment, would be the lack of basic supplies at start-up (toilet paper, cleaning soaps dishcloths and cooking wares). Also, pool area very shady due to tall trees.
Owner's Response: On the points raised by Bill I can say:
The pool heating problem was fixed as soon as the part for pool heater was available. Unfortunately these things happen, and I did compensate Bill for the inconvenience caused over and above the daily cost associated with the pool heating.
On the matter of basic supplies, I contacted my management company who stated what I had thought. Their reply was..,
"We supply a sufficient amount of towels and linen for the number of people the villa can sleep. We also place a new roll of toilet paper in each bathroom, along with a single bar of soap (hotel soap) in each bathroom and a trash bag in the bin. After this the villa is self catering".
The problem encountered by my guest was their stay was for 6 weeks and we do not provide supplies for 6 weeks. Luckily Wal-Mart is within walking distance for if you run out. Please remember this is a self catering holiday.
Regarding "Cooking Wares" we have never had this issue raised before and I would say our villa is fully stocked with enough cooking wares however I did pass these comments to my management company who regularly check the inventory. They have been told to replace any items found to be missing.
And on the issue of trees? Yes there are trees to the east of our pool so they do obscure the sun for part of the day. But they also provide privacy, some shade and they look nice.
I thank Bill giving us 4 out 5 and I am glad they enjoyed their stay. I also hope the above shows that as owners we take our guests comments very seriously and strive to meet even the highest expectations of our guests. It is our home after all and we want our guests to feel the same way.
Thank you for reading
Paul
