SPACIOUS AND BEAUTIFUL

Lanark is a quiet and nice village between Glasgow and Edinburgh. New Lanark is a very interesting and well presented atraction. The house is in the centre of the village, close to many shops and services. It is well fournished and it is spacious and has a lot of light. It's easy to park arround. We were welcomed by owners.

HOMELY, CLEAN AND SPACIOUS

Short stay in this lovley, spacious apartment, very well maintained, nice personal touches, everything you could think of was there, most hotels/apartments only have freeview but this one had a big tv, skyHD and a variety of dvds to go with the dvd player, along with nice little ornaments around the place making it feel very homley and had an old fashioned feel to it, ideally situated in the centre of Lanark, close to all amenities, everything has been thought of and highly reccomend this apartment to anyone looking for a stay in Lanark.

CLEAN AND INEXPENSIVE

The house was wonderful and located in a cute little village full of grocery stores and restaurants. It was clean and afforable. We have 4 children and there was room for everyone. The biggest plus was the kitchen full of cooking supplies, and the washer and dryer. We did all our own cooking and saved a lot of money. The country roads that take you to the main tourist attractions are a little hard to get use to, and the trains only go to Glasgow. The countryside is so beautiful we enjoyed the drive to and from our daily outings.

FANTASTIC

We arrived in Lanark on Boxing Day 2010, with our two teenagers. The flat was ready for us to move into when we arrived. It is spacious and very clean, the description is very accurate and the flat is well-maintained. June was accomodating and very easy to communicate with, when booking our vacation.
Lanark is well situated between Glasgow and Edinburgh an hour either
way, an easy drive. Restaurants, bakery, grocery stores, train station and pubs are all within walking distance from the flat, and the people of Lanark are very welcoming.
I recommend this property and will rent it again when I go back to Scotland.

FIRST STAY IN SCOTLAND

We really enjoyed our first stay in Scotland in this cosy, well-furnished apartment.
Everything you need is close by. Short distance to supermarket (round the corner), bank or shops.Great selection of restaurants (fast-food, Italian, Chinese, Indian), we can recommend the excellent restaurant of the owner of the apartment (next door) - our dinner was delicious. The owner was very kind and gave us a nice welcome (bouquet of roses, a lamp was switched on by arriving late at night, the owner has got some food for breakfast next morning for us, some umbrellas were placed to our disposal). We also got a phone-number and name of a person we could contact in case of a problem or if we had any questions. The property was well cleaned and enough space for 5 persons. The equipment of the kitchen could have been better. For a big family you need some more cutlery, pots (for cooking pasta and sauce) and for example a basket for bread. - We visited New Lanark (part of the Unesco world-heritage, worth-seeing and very interesting), Glasgow, Edinborough, the beautiful Clyde Valley- everything in a pretty short distance.
The correspondence with the owner referring to our booking was very pleasant and helpful.We would recommend this property in any case because we liked to stay there.

TRIP TO LANARK

We visited Lanark for a week in September (four people from Canada). The apartment in Lanark was an excellent location for touring Edinburgh and Glasgow and surrounding area. (withing walking distance to the train) Two of us enjoyed the golfing in the area. Close to all night life and excellent restaurants within walking distance.

Lanark is a small bustling market town situated midway between Glasgow and Edinburgh. Both are under an hour away by car, also half hourly train service to Glasgow from Lanark. Historic New Lanark is within walking distance and The beautiful Clyde Valley is only a few miles away. Lanark is an ideal base for touring Scotland as it lies in the central belt. North to Loch Lomond and the Trossachs, East to Edinburgh and Fife, West to Ayr and South to Dumfries and Galloway and the Scottish Borders. Carlisle is 1 hours drive south and the famous Lake District is only 1 and a half hours drive.
