Barolo is a well appointed first floor apartment located on the beach in the centre of Holetown. The apartment is fitted and furnished to a very high standard and enjoys stunning views of the Caribbean Sea. It can be rented as 1, 2, 3 or 4 bedrooms, accommodating groups from 2 to 7+. Set in delightfully landscaped gardens with communal lagoon style pool, all the amenities of Holetown are right on the doorstep. These include fine restaurants, bistros, beach bars, water sports, grocery stores, duty free shopping and tennis courts. Barolo has a cook/housekeeper who works 6 days a week preparing breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Holetown, St James is situated in the middle of Barbados's famous West coast approximately 10 miles from Bridgetown. Barolo is located on the beach in Holetown within easy walking distance of all major shops, banks, restaurants (Tides, Cocomos, The Mews, Olives, Ragamuffins and Angry Annies to name a few) and various bars.

Amenities: Bath and Beach towels are provided for all guests. The apartment block at Villas On The Beach has security at night and a receptionist during the day. There is a property / villa manager available 9-5 Monday to Friday with an emergency 24hr call-out number at all other times. There is a lift to all the floors.

Leisure Facilities: The island features a variety of leisure facilities, from relaxing by the pool to water-skiing, playing golf at Sandy Lane, Westmoreland and The Barbados Golf Clubs, sightseeing, shopping, eating out and attending various events that take place throughout the year, there is something to appeal to everyone. Polo Is played at Holders Hill Polo Ground, Ape's Hill Polo Ground and various other Polo Grounds on the island.

Golf: Barbados has several new and exciting courses. Tee times etc. can all be organised through the local agent for Sandy Lane Golf Club, Westmoreland Golf Club and the Barbados Golf Club.

Beautiful apartment with stunning views

As soon as we arrived at Barolo, we were made very welcome
by everyone there.
This is a beautifully appointed and well equipped apartment with everything you could possibly need for a relaxing and enjoyable holiday - nothing is too much trouble, and out housekeeper was brilliant - just wish we could have taken her home with us!
The situation is perfect for lying by the pool or beach, with watersports and activities on hand, and the added attraction of shopping and some lovely bars and restaurants close by.
All in all - a perfect spot for a perfect holiday - definately looking forward to a return visit in 2009.

We stayed at Barolo in March 2009. the apartment is stunning, the attention to detail of everything in it was all to a VERY high standard. The location, right on the beach and also in the centre of holetown was great, everything you could need in walking distance.
And last but not least there is Sonya, the housekeeper, she looked after us so well without every getting in the way. She is a fantastic cook and we would recommend her chicken curry!!! Before the trip we had planned to eat out more than we actually did because her food was so good.

Superb.

Location, facilities, hospitality all first rate. Company a bit dodgy but you can't have everything!

My wife and I had the most fantastic week in Barolo in early December. My bad for not reviewing before now but had to wait for the effects of the Mount Gay Cocktail Tour to wear off....

Different people holiday for different reasons, ours was to get our bodies and souls recharged after a tough year and in preparation for Christmas.

Barolo got the job done and how. It's the location Stupid! Situated on a beautiful stretch of prime West Coast sand, a dive into the warm, placid, azure waters is the best detox I know. Take a stroll up the beach to pleasant bars and restaurants or just sit there and watch the world go by. If it all gets too much, retire to the well kept gardens betwixt Barolo and the sea for a relax with rays and a book.

The apartment itself is spotless, spacious and very comfortable indeed. The owners have clearly gone the extra mile to make your stay as relaxing as being in your own home with every detail considered and catered for. Talking of catering, it too is top notch. Delightful lady (& from time to time her Sandy Lane trained chef husband) served up delicious meals from breakfast to gourmet dinner. They even have Marmite!

Catering was good enough that you would never need to leave the apartment but that of course would be a shame with the great tastes and range on offer on the island.

Thoroughly enjoyed the deep sea fishing arranged by the owner, and we all enjoyed eating our Kingfish catch, prepared several ways by our wonderful cooks.

The apartment is a few steps away from comprehensive shopping facilities for wine, food, cafes, gifts.

We had a ball and wouldn't hesitate to return to Barolo.

Great Stay

The villa is situated in the centre of Holetown so there are many places to eat within few minutes walk. There is also a supermarket over the road. However we didn't eat ot much because the housekeeper prepared excellent meals for us, for 6 days a week.

The villa it's self is right on the beach with private access. In fact you can lie in the bed in the master bedroom with the Patio doors open and watch the waves lap onto the beach.

The appartments are well managed with security present all of the time.

Overall a fantastic stay, would be very happy to stay again.
