We are located on Abingdon Road, London W8, one of London's premier addresses, and near neighbours to William & Kate (and George) who have moved in down the road. Abingdon Road is a peaceful and quiet street despite being minutes from the centre of things.

If you do not know London well, the old mantra of 'Location, Location, Location' means a great deal in this city. Also look carefully at the size of your rental. Spending a week in a tiny studio apartment or even a small one-bedder can prove to be a little miserable. We are fortunate in being able to offer our guests much more room than most, plus a gorgeous terrace.

We are proud of our apartment; and want you to be as comfortable and relaxed as possible, so we have tried to think of everything. The apartment is located one up from ground and is the entire floor of a converted Victorian house. There is no elevator, but the 15 or so stairs are not taxing.

We have a comfortable four-poster double bed with a luxurious mattress and we believe in providing the finest Egyptian cotton sheets, which get many a favourable comment from our guests. Even the large double sofa bed has the same linen and a fully sprung mattress. The bedroom faces the gardens at the rear to ensure that even the lightest sleepers get a good night's sleep.

We have some great local restaurants (check out Whits and W8 Kitchen) and a range of excellent supermarkets within a few minutes walk (Waitrose, Whole Foods etc).

You can also easily walk to High Street Kensington underground station (about 7 mins), the Royal Holland & Hyde Parks, Marks and Spencer, Kensington Palace, or just about any store that you might need.

We are also conveniently located for the Victoria & Albert Museum, the Natural History Museum, Science Museum, the Albert Hall, the National Gallery and the principal sites of London (Buckingham Palace, the Eye, Theatres, The Tate, The Thames Walk etc).

As a result most of our guests are regular visitors, often people who are staying for longer and find regular holiday apartments too confined. We are also very popular with honeymoon couples.

We are happy to provide discounts for single business travellers and those who wish to stay for extended periods.

We always provide a personal check-in so that we can orientate you to the area and help you plan the best way to make the most of your stay. And if you need us, we are at the end of a phone.

Our conservatory has blackout blinds the bathroom features a fabulous overhead rain shower. We also have a flat screen TV and DVD player, a printer and a desk full of London guides and information.

You may have heard that London has introduced a new cycle hire scheme - a great way to get around the centre – and we have three docking stations within a couple of minutes walk

Plus we can help with cars from the airport, cell phones for your stay, theatre bookings etc.

SPECTACULAR APARTMENT, SUPERB HOSTS!

I cannot say enough about this stunning apartment and the extraordinary owners who have created this beautiful oasis in London's prestigious W8 district! As a VRBO owner myself, I was so appreciative of all the extra touches; the welcome card we found on arrival, the gourmet coffee waiting for us in the fully equipped kitchen, the quality of the linens and towels, and the immaculate presentation of the apartment itself. The terrace was a perfect start to our day where we could sip coffee and plan our wanderings to nearby Kensington Gardens, the local shops on High Street, and the biggest Whole Foods Market I've ever seen! Transportation was a breeze with the tube station within walking distance although I must admit, I found it hard to leave the area with all that it had to offer! Be sure to start your day with coffee and a croissant at Cafe Le Monde, stop for a pint at the Scarsdale Pub or the Devonshire Arms, and finish off your day with an evening meal at Whits, The Abingdon, or The Bengal (worth the tube trip for some of the best Indian food in London!) A huge thank you to the owners who were so gracious to host us not only once but twice during our time in London. Your photos do not do justice to your magnificent apartment and we are so very grateful to you for your kindness and generosity.

SUPERB ACCOMMODATIONS!

Our family of 3 (couple + 13 yr. old son) stayed in this lovely, modern apartment for 5 nights in late Sept. 2013 and we couldn't be more pleased with the accommodation - a well-appointed kitchen with clothes washer, an updated bathroom and spacious living and dining area. Location is also superb, just a few steps from High Street and a few minutes walk to/from the High Street Kensington tube station. Whole Foods Market is about a 10 minute walk and Waitrose supermarket is even closer in the other direction.

Mark was also a pleasure to deal with - responsive and very helpful with important information to make our stay more pleasant and trouble-free. Would not have any second thoughts about staying here again and recommending this apartment to those looking for a conveniently-located, safe, clean and comfortable place to stay in London! In fact, we actually have recommended this apartment to one of our friends intending to visit this year!

HOME AWAY FROM HOME

Spent a wonderful week in London in mid-January and after a day out looked forward to spending the evening in this wonderful flat. Nothing has been overlooked - comfortable furniture, well-equipped kitchen, fabulous bath, soothing bedroom! A lot of care went in to make this an oasis in the middle of London. Also, the location is perfect - just a short walk to many bus routes or the High Street Kensington tube stop. And the High Street has shops, restaurants, food stores, dry cleaners, etc. Highly recommend this apartment and we look forward to making this an annual trip.

PERFECT ONCE AGAIN

This was our 2nd time at this apt. and we will definitely return again. It is a perfect home away from home for spending time in London. The owners are nice, easy to deal with and truly want to make your stay as good as possible. The apt. is functional, well-equipped and spotless. Returning after 4 yrs, we were amazed to notice that it showed no regular wear and tear, but was really spick-and-span.
What's perhaps the best about the apt., though, is its location. Kensington High Street is just around the corner, and those who like walking, like we do, can explore the beautiful areas of Kensington, Chelsea, Holland Park, Notting Hill and Knightsbridge by foot. The tube station is also only a couple of minutes away.
We highly recommend!

AN IDEAL APARTMENT

As frequent VRBO renters we can say with confidence that this is a perfect vacation rental. The location is extremely convenient - just a few minutes from the High Kensington Subway station and in one of London's finest neighbourhoods. The apartment is spacious with lots of sunlight, clean and well appointed. It is quiet and surrounded with outstanding local restaurants. We had a lovely dinner at Whits and had a glass of sparkling wine on the house from Eva when we told her where we were staying. Mark greeted us upon our arrival, oriented us to the apartment and gave us valuable advice for our visit (unfortunately, we didn't make it for high tea at the Claridge). We also found Mark to be very responsive and helpful with our many questions prior to our trip.
We don't know when we will return to London but we would be delighted to stay there again, in a heartbeat. Thank you Mark and Sophia for sharing your home with us.

EXCELLENT LONDON APARTMENT IN KENSINGTON

This apartment is very well located to the Underground, excellent restaurants ( Abingdon and Whits ), and four grocery stores. It is very modernly decorated with a spa like en-suite and a full function kitchen. The terrace is a nice place to have your morning coffee or your end of day glass of wine. It's a very very comfortable home away from home. Who would stay in even the best hotel when you could stay here? If we come back to London in the future we would certainly want to rent this apartment again.
