We are located on Abingdon Road, London W8, one of London's premier addresses, and near neighbours to William & Kate (and George) who have moved in down the road. Abingdon Road is a peaceful and quiet street despite being minutes from the centre of things.

If you do not know London well, the old mantra of 'Location, Location, Location' means a great deal in this city. Also look carefully at the size of your rental. Spending a week in a tiny studio apartment or even a small one-bedder can prove to be a little miserable. We are fortunate in being able to offer our guests much more room than most, plus a gorgeous terrace.

We are proud of our apartment; and want you to be as comfortable and relaxed as possible, so we have tried to think of everything. The apartment is located one up from ground and is the entire floor of a converted Victorian house. There is no elevator, but the 15 or so stairs are not taxing.

We have a comfortable four-poster double bed with a luxurious mattress and we believe in providing the finest Egyptian cotton sheets, which get many a favourable comment from our guests. Even the large double sofa bed has the same linen and a fully sprung mattress. The bedroom faces the gardens at the rear to ensure that even the lightest sleepers get a good night's sleep.

We have some great local restaurants (check out Whits and W8 Kitchen) and a range of excellent supermarkets within a few minutes walk (Waitrose, Whole Foods etc).

You can also easily walk to High Street Kensington underground station (about 7 mins), the Royal Holland & Hyde Parks, Marks and Spencer, Kensington Palace, or just about any store that you might need.

We are also conveniently located for the Victoria & Albert Museum, the Natural History Museum, Science Museum, the Albert Hall, the National Gallery and the principal sites of London (Buckingham Palace, the Eye, Theatres, The Tate, The Thames Walk etc).

As a result most of our guests are regular visitors, often people who are staying for longer and find regular holiday apartments too confined. We are also very popular with honeymoon couples.

We are happy to provide discounts for single business travellers and those who wish to stay for extended periods.

We always provide a personal check-in so that we can orientate you to the area and help you plan the best way to make the most of your stay. And if you need us, we are at the end of a phone.

Our conservatory has blackout blinds the bathroom features a fabulous overhead rain shower. We also have a flat screen TV and DVD player, a printer and a desk full of London guides and information.

You may have heard that London has introduced a new cycle hire scheme - a great way to get around the centre – and we have three docking stations within a couple of minutes walk

Plus we can help with cars from the airport, cell phones for your stay, theatre bookings etc.

Perfection

We were greeted warmly by Sophia at the door and introduced to the beautifully maintained apartment. She gave us a succinct but thorough run-through of all the amenities and systems in the flat and the surrounding area. The kitchen was well equipped; the bathroom beautifully appointed with a great shower and the living/dining area warm and comfortable. Access to the internet and free phone calls to UK landlines made our daily planning easy.

The flat is in an exceptional location, close to great transportation and many amenities including several grocery stores within a few minutes walk and the busses and tubes are just a couple of minutes away. The flat is situated in a most exclusive area of London with a very short walk to Holland Park, which is a beautiful reprieve from the hustle bustle of town.

We enjoyed the shops and the numerous restaurants in the area, including the Abingdon Pub and the lovely Vietnamese restaurant across the street. We didn't have time to try the others - but they looked wonderful.

I cannot thank Sophia and Mark enough for the most fabulous stay and the most delightful flat.

WOW! The reviews were very accurate. My wife and I are over 60 and thought this was ideal. Traveled to Kensington, Museums, by tube, by bus and cab. I recommend Mark's apartment to anyone who wants to stay in central London, likes to walk, people watch and sightsee. It had everything -- ice cubes, wine corks, dishes so we could eat in for breakfast and some suppers. I could have spent a month in this apartment.It ha

The perfect flat in so many ways!

Mark, the owner was helpful and went way beyond what you would expect from a rental. I booked this rental for my two daughters age 25 and 23. Their flight came in from the united states late and Mark was nice enough to meet them close to midnight. He gave my daughters a tour and showed them how to use everything and made them feel at home. My daughters said the flat is beyond beautiful and in a fantastic location. The tube is 5 minutes from the flat and very convient. Everyday conveniences such as Whole foods, restraunts, coffee shops, and just a hopping town were one block away. Yet the neighborhood felt quaint and homey. The bed was very comfortable and even the pull out sofa bed was amazing. They loved the patio and they used it often. The girls loved the flowers on the patio and loved to water them daily.They said the kitchen was amazing, yet neither wanted to cook! In their words, they would never stay anywhere else and hope that its available when they go back to London! Now as a mom, I just want to say that Mark made me feel reassured that my girls would be in good hands. He let me know when their flight arrived safely and suggested town car services to use that were reliable. Believe me, he answered my many questions quickly, always with a friendly email. When my girls left something very important in the flat and I panicked, Mark quickly answered my email, reassured me they found it, and mailed it back to the states! Again, I am truly grateful for the experience my daughters had in London and I am lucky to have found this amazing flat owned by special people. Thanks Mark!

Comfortable flat in a great location!

My husband and I were very pleased with the Abingdon Road flat! It was spotless and comfortable, with plenty of space to store our belongings in the bedroom. The bathroom was especially well done, with a rain shower in the tub in addition to a hand-held. The lighting on the sides of the bathroom mirror was perfect for shaving and make-up application. Another great feature of the flat was the outdoor deck, where we often enjoyed breakfast or a glass of wine at the end of the day.
The location was excellent, as the street was quiet but near the shops and the Underground station on Kensington High Street. We enjoyed morning runs in Kensington Gardens and Hyde Park. Waitrose's supermarket was around the corner, and on several occasions we had dinner at The Abdingdon, a wonderful pub/restaurant down the street from the flat.
The owners did a great job greeting us, showing us around the flat, and answering our questions. Before arriving, we had requested the use of the portable air conditioner, and it was there and turned on when we arrived. It was also a great feature to have the wifi and to be able to use the phone in the flat to call the States free of charge. We highly recommend this flat and look forward to staying here again the next time we are in London.

Fantastic stay!!

We arrived at the flat on July 23, 2014 and were pleased beyond! It's a fabulous location and loved having a couple dinners under the moonlight on the open deck. The flat is spacious, great bedding and close to any store you'd ever need! We had so much fun during our week long stay and anxious to return. The landlords were extremely kind, helpful and quick with replies. We'd highly recommend this VRBO property!!

Perfect in Every Way

We loved every aspect of this spacious flat. No detail was overlooked, it was spotlessly clean, beautifully furnished, situated in a most ideal location for just about every need from shopping, to sight-seeing, to all modes of transportation, to excellent dining opportunities, and to breath-taking neighborhoods. The flat was in a quiet and safe location, and has a wonderful outdoor seating area that is a serene setting for enjoying your morning coffee, evening cocktails, or just to relax and enjoy. The owners are gracious and enthusiastic about making certain our stay was memorable. We loved the nearby restaurants, Whole Foods, Kensington Palace and its surrounds. Preparing our own breakfast, and sometimes lunch, in the lovely kitchen was a treat. We will not stay anywhere else in our next trip to London - which we are already planning to do.
