We are located on Abingdon Road, London W8, one of London's premier addresses, and near neighbours to William & Kate (and George) who have moved in down the road. Abingdon Road is a peaceful and quiet street despite being minutes from the centre of things.

If you do not know London well, the old mantra of 'Location, Location, Location' means a great deal in this city. Also look carefully at the size of your rental. Spending a week in a tiny studio apartment or even a small one-bedder can prove to be a little miserable. We are fortunate in being able to offer our guests much more room than most, plus a gorgeous terrace.

We are proud of our apartment; and want you to be as comfortable and relaxed as possible, so we have tried to think of everything. The apartment is located one up from ground and is the entire floor of a converted Victorian house. There is no elevator, but the 15 or so stairs are not taxing.

We have a comfortable four-poster double bed with a luxurious mattress and we believe in providing the finest Egyptian cotton sheets, which get many a favourable comment from our guests. Even the large double sofa bed has the same linen and a fully sprung mattress. The bedroom faces the gardens at the rear to ensure that even the lightest sleepers get a good night's sleep.

We have some great local restaurants (check out Whits and W8 Kitchen) and a range of excellent supermarkets within a few minutes walk (Waitrose, Whole Foods etc).

You can also easily walk to High Street Kensington underground station (about 7 mins), the Royal Holland & Hyde Parks, Marks and Spencer, Kensington Palace, or just about any store that you might need.

We are also conveniently located for the Victoria & Albert Museum, the Natural History Museum, Science Museum, the Albert Hall, the National Gallery and the principal sites of London (Buckingham Palace, the Eye, Theatres, The Tate, The Thames Walk etc).

As a result most of our guests are regular visitors, often people who are staying for longer and find regular holiday apartments too confined. We are also very popular with honeymoon couples.

We are happy to provide discounts for single business travellers and those who wish to stay for extended periods.

We always provide a personal check-in so that we can orientate you to the area and help you plan the best way to make the most of your stay. And if you need us, we are at the end of a phone.

Our conservatory has blackout blinds the bathroom features a fabulous overhead rain shower. We also have a flat screen TV and DVD player, a printer and a desk full of London guides and information.

You may have heard that London has introduced a new cycle hire scheme - a great way to get around the centre – and we have three docking stations within a couple of minutes walk

Plus we can help with cars from the airport, cell phones for your stay, theatre bookings etc.

Wonderful vacation retreat

I can only echo what other reviewers have said. This is a lovely apartment, the perfect place for a couple on vacation in London. It is well-situated, close to grocery stores, restaurants, a movie theater, the High Street Kensington Tube, and lovely Holland Park (with great formal gardens) is just a couple of blocks away.

The apartment itself is clean, quiet and safe. The terrace is an added bonus. There are a number of thoughtful touches that set this property apart from others -- free telephone calls to the US and Canada; a printer (with the setup manual and a pack of paper!) that can be connected to a laptop for printing theater tickets or boarding passes; a supply of various computer cables; a number of books (novels as well as travel guides); individual reading lamps by the bed; welcoming chocolates and a supply of ground coffee. Best of all, everything works! There is even a binder with the operating manuals for the appliances (coffee maker, washer/dryer, microwave) in case unfamiliar equipment stumps you.

Mark and Sophia were communicative and prompt, and accommodated our desire to arrive early in order to make a walking tour. The information provided via email before arrival and in the "welcome" book was clear and comprehensive.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this Kensington apartment, and if we should return to London we would definitely come here again.

Excellent rental in a great Kensington location

We really enjoyed our stay. Much more comfortable and convenient than a hotel room. Awesome apartment in the heart of Kensington. Great restaurants and amenities nearby. Steps away from Holland Park and Kensington Gardens. The owner was kind of enough to meet us early so we didn't need to hang out for a few hours. Gave us a good walk through on how to use everything. The apartment has all the amenities, great kitchen (Several grocery stores nearby). Enjoyed having coffee in the mornings on the Terrace. Just an awesome place to stay. Highly recommended. Can't wait to stay again.

Very good value

This is a very comfortable and well maintained flat. Perfect for two people. Three nearby grocery stores and many restaurants are within easy walking distance. Very close to High Street Kensington Tube station at which the important District and Circle lines operate. Mark and Sophia are so friendly and helpful. They made us feel comfortable from the first email exchange to the end. Highly recommend this place. We would stay again for sure.

Great Place

We very much enjoyed our stay in Kensington due to this great apt.. It is very centrally located, you can walk or take the underground anywhere. Grocery stores and great restaurants are within a few blocks. Highly recommend it for a couple, it is too nice for a family. The owners were very helpful in providing tourist information and were readily available for questions. Information for all appliances was available which was useful. Simple equipment eg. the microwave and washing machine operate differently than those in the US.

My husband and I also enjoyed the beautiful windows and patio. Can't say enough good things, great place!

Perfection

We were greeted warmly by Sophia at the door and introduced to the beautifully maintained apartment. She gave us a succinct but thorough run-through of all the amenities and systems in the flat and the surrounding area. The kitchen was well equipped; the bathroom beautifully appointed with a great shower and the living/dining area warm and comfortable. Access to the internet and free phone calls to UK landlines made our daily planning easy.

The flat is in an exceptional location, close to great transportation and many amenities including several grocery stores within a few minutes walk and the busses and tubes are just a couple of minutes away. The flat is situated in a most exclusive area of London with a very short walk to Holland Park, which is a beautiful reprieve from the hustle bustle of town.

We enjoyed the shops and the numerous restaurants in the area, including the Abingdon Pub and the lovely Vietnamese restaurant across the street. We didn't have time to try the others - but they looked wonderful.

I cannot thank Sophia and Mark enough for the most fabulous stay and the most delightful flat.

WOW! The reviews were very accurate. My wife and I are over 60 and thought this was ideal. Traveled to Kensington, Museums, by tube, by bus and cab. I recommend Mark's apartment to anyone who wants to stay in central London, likes to walk, people watch and sightsee. It had everything -- ice cubes, wine corks, dishes so we could eat in for breakfast and some suppers. I could have spent a month in this apartment.It ha
