Lairaga is a well maintained one bedroom modern and airy apartment that has everything you need to make your holiday comfortable and one to remember, ideal for both couples and families alike. It is situated in a quite private area of the complex not overlooked by other residents but still less than 2 mins from the pool. After a busy day out and about you can relax by the pool or on the terrace which boasts sunshine from early morning until late evening and enjoy the stunning sea views and glorious sunset's. Lairaga Complex is a small quite complex situated on the upper level of Puerto Rico but has the convenience of being within 5 minutes walk of the Europa Centre where you will find shops, restaurants, bars, play area for the children and crazy golf. Both Puerto Rico Centre, Amadores and beaches are easily accessible either by foot, taxi or bus. The friendly welcome from the locals and the fabulous weather will make you want to return year after year!

The popular resorts of Puerto Rico and Amadores are situated in the south of the island which is renowned for being the sunniest spot on the island, sheltered by the trade winds it is also one of the hottest! it is also famous for its beaches, duty free shop for perfume/aftershave, cigarettes and alcohol, souvenirs and variety of good restaurants. They both have golden sandy beaches, plenty of sunbeds, sheltered swimming areas and plenty of restaurants serving breakfast throughout to evening meals, snacks throughout the day and of course ice creams. There is also a water park and tennis for the more energetic and two crazy golf courses for the young and young at heart! in Purto Rico. Amadores is a relatively new resort with superb changing and toilet facilities with lockers and plenty of parking is available. There is also a children's play are with climbing frame etc and crazy golf too.

About Gran Canaria: Gran Canaria is only a 4 hour flight from the UK which enjoys year round sunshine. There are attractions for everyone, whether you are visiting Gran Canaria with friends or the family it has something for everyone!!! Attractions on the island includes museums, monuments and historical architectural buildings that are extremely impressive , churches and botanical gardens. The views and scenery in the mountains and forests are spectacular as are the beaches and sand dunes! 130 miles off the African Coast, Gran Canaria is the third largest and arguably the most luxurious of the Canary Islands. Probably the closest to a pure island paradise you will find in Europe, Gran Canaria offer everything you could wish for from an island in the sun. Watersports, fishing trips and driving are readily available. There are eight golf courses throughout the island all of a very high standard and very affordable.

About the Apartment: The apartment has one bedroom with 2 x single beds and a wardrobe with a double sofa bed in the living room. There is a fully fitted modern kitchen consisting of full size oven and ceramic hob, microwave, kettle, toaster, fridge, iron and safety deposit box. The living room has a breakfast bar with seating for 4, music system + selection of CDs, TV with DVD + selection of DVDs, PlayStation 1 + selection of games, books and board games - this leads out onto the large balcony with ample seating, table and umbrella that has day long sunshine. The bathroom has a shower and also situated there is the washing machine. Bedding and towels are included [changed weekly]. For more information check outour website, ask us for details.

Excellent rental. Well equipped, clean, quiet and well maintained, with extras such as music/ video. Good balcony. Poll on site. Good for visiting around the south coast of Gran Canaria. Lots of parking if you have a hire car. Bus stop nearby otherwise.
One bit of caution there are a lot of steps from the road to the apartment front door - not at all a problem for people without physical disabilities, but would be a challenge otherwise.
I would certianly use again if I return to Gran Canaria.
