This is an exceptionally-well located studio apartment. It is beautifully and stylishly designed and provides an extremely comfortable quiet escape 3 minutes walk from Sacre Coeur.
The 3rd floor, 32 mq, studio is situated within a charming nineteenth-century apartment block (with elevator) and was redesigned by an architect and entirely refurbished in 2011. Everything is entirely new, including shower, toilet, and appliances such as the oven (converts also into a microwave), fridge etc. Two top quality new sofa beds (2 + 1) are available for sleeping, designed in such a way that they are converted within a second without having to make the bed afresh each time. Additionally, a pouf is available that can fold out to make a temporary bed for an additional visitor. Throughout, the apartment has beautiful high quality brand new parquet flooring.
Electric heating is available. Three windows leave the studio looking very modern and bright. Ideal for a professional single person or couple. A closet room is available for storing next to the main door. A brand new Miele vacuum cleaner is available. Guests will find a flat screen TV and an excellent Orange fast internet connection plus hundreds of cable TV channels. Free land lines calls to most countries included.

Nearest Metro stations
Lamarck-Caulaincourt station, line 12 (blue), is about 600 meters away. Leaving the station, you must exit to the right, ascending 50 meters, then descending 400 meters. You will be continuously walking along the same street; first it is called Caulaincourt then Rue Custine. The walk takes about 10 minutes.
Chateau Rouge station, line 4 (violet), is 300 meters from the home. Once you leave the subway, go left, cross bld.
Barbès, immediately there Rue Custine starts, if you walk ahead for 300 meters you will see Cafè Montmartre. The
walk takes less than five minutes.
From Roissy-CDG airport take the RER B train stop at Gare du Nord and take a taxi to 18 Rue Custine (5 minutes, 7
to 10 euros). From Orly-ORY take the Orlybus to Denfert-Rochereau. From there take the RER B train to Gare du
Nord and take a taxi to 18 Rue Custine (5 minutes, 7 to 10 euros).
In both cases if you wish to avoid taking a taxi you may take the Metro Line 4 from Gare du Nord or from Denfert-
Rochereau, stopping at Chateau Rouge station (instructions above). Alternatively you might consider the buses “Les Cars Air France” from the airports to Charles de Gaulle–Étoile, plus taxi (10 to 20 Euros).
18 Rue Custine is between the aristocratic avenue Junot and the exotic bld. Barbès and Chateau Rouge. Walking
from the bottom to the top of la Butte Montmartre you will experience the architecture, the interesting varieties of
shops and the elegance of the street changing. Both sides are safe and fun to stroll around at your leisure. Within 10
minutes walk in any direction you may find several ethnic restaurants, French bistros, Italian restaurants and pizzeria.
Several groceries and delicatessen are available.
Chateau Rouge metro stop is very exotic and multi-ethnic: people often trying to enter without tickets. Although
superficially this might seem a bit chaotic, it is in fact not dangerous at all. Indeed, it is a great place to buy unusual
vegetables and to explore the local market. However, if you feel uncomfortable in this more exotic kind of environment,
use line 12 (blue), Lamarck-Caulaincourt stop - very middle to upper class area!
To climb la butte Montmartre and reach Sacré-Coeur and Saint Pierre you can take any street or flight of steps. There
are many hidden places with an irregular urban texture that makes this place special in Paris. Near Lamarck-
Caulaincourt station you can visit the unknown Saint Vincent cemetery.
