The interior of the house is amazing and it takes all you need for a carefree stay. We enjoyed every single day. The service from Arlen was very good. We had a problem with the garage-door but it was fixed quickly by Goran.

Hello

My name is Georgina and I own Villa Georgina (thats me above on one of my visits) with my family. When we bought the property it was a shell, with no interior fixtures/fittings and where the swimming pool is, there was just a big field with grass and trees. The property was renovated using Croatian craftsmen for all the work, and the swimming pool was installed using a local craftsman in Tar.

We love this property and come twice a year . As its our own holiday home you will see that we have lots of personal stuff that makes it look nice and we hope that you will also appreciate the nice touches that we have in the property. The village we like very much as there is lots of local places to eat and everything is within easy access. The local people are also very nice and we know some of them now.

Georgina purchased this house in 2006

We love this property as it is in the heart of the village, and used to be an old bakehouse. We have tried to retain the character to the property but with a personal touch, and with all modern appliances to make your holiday memorable.

Lovely stone walls.

A large alcove in the lounge where the oven used to be for making bread.

Two access areas, at the back with large barbeque and shade from the sun where you can relax and eat.

At the front the swimming pool with lounging area, car parking for two cars and secluded gates which you can lock when not around for safety.

Central heating and air conditioning.

NICE HOUSE IN VERY GOOD CONDITION

  • 5 of 5
The House was very nice and we were very satisfied. Everything was in a good condition and the women, which are cleaning the house, did their job very well. Tar is a nice little village, where we could buy most of the things we needed. The house is situated in a small road with only a few traffic, so it was not too loud.

The nearby beaches (camp lanterna) are nice and not too overcrowded - even in the main season.

The agents of the tourist office in Porec were very kind and helpful.

Our holidays in Tar were very nice. We were in Istria for the third time and your house was really the best one.

best regards
Erik Heyer

OUR HOLIDAY IN TAR

  • 4 of 5
We spent our holiday in Tar in June 2013. The house is awesome and location in the quiet small town is perfect for having a peaceful and relaxing holiday. It was very easy to make some trips by car to surrounding cities of Istria.
Swimming pool was extremely nice. Furthermore Lanterna beaches are close enough if you want to swim in sea.

LOVELY HOLIDAY IN ISTRIA

  • 5 of 5
We had a lovely stay in this gorgeous cottage in Tar. The house is full or character, beautifully restored, clean and very well equipped. The pool was great - bigger than we expected, and the kids - aged 12 and 14, loved it. It was a real bonus in the heat, and it was a real luxury to have it all to ourselves! We even enjoyed church bells.

The cottage is close to all the amenties you could need. The fruit and veg stalls are metres away, as are a small supermarket and cashpoint. A bakery and a number of very reasonable restaurants are also very close by. There are beaches close by, but the house and pool were so lovely and private that we barely took advantage of the beaches.

The village is a good base for exploring Istria. Porec and Rovinj are both lovely coastal towns to explore (but be careful in Rovinj not to park in the wrong place - we did inadvertantly and our car was towed away - it cost Kn900.00 to release it!) and the Roman amphitheatre in Pula is very impressive. Inland the hilltop village of Motovun is well worth a visit, the tiny town of Hum is sweet, but Buzet was a disappointing ghost town. And if the weather has been very dry, don't try to visit the waterfall at Kotli - it won't be there!

Overall, we had a perfect week in a beautiful, relaxed and quiet home. Thank you.

GREAT HOLIDAY IN ISTRIA

  • 5 of 5
We have had an absolutely wonderful holiday in Croatia. The house is a real gem, with all what you need to have a perfect holiday. It combines the authentic atmosphere of a rural country house with the comfort of modern utilities, such as air condition in all rooms, dish washer, washing machine and the likes. The pool is a real life-safer in the Croatian heat.

Tar is a cozy little town, with plenty of opportunities for eating out and do do groceries.

The house is located in a good spot for making trips. There are really nice beaches all around Istria and beautiful towns by the sea.

This was out first visit to Croatia, but it will certainly not be the last.

WE DID IT AGAIN! UND WIEDER SCHÖNE FERIEN IN TAR!

  • 5 of 5
We did it again!
