El Bosque is 2 bedroom apartment overlooking woodland, and is our home when visiting Marbella and our son, with his young family use it often
There is air conditioning, satellite TV, DVD and Wifi, fridge/freezer, microwave, dishwasher, washing machine. 2 bathrooms, and ample linen and towels.
The swimming pool and children’s pool is just 50 metres walk through our lovely gardens, (there are 3 more elsewhere on the development all with toilet facilities and childrens pools)... The pool is very convenient, but it is behind us, so far enough away that we cant hear people in it when we are relaxing on the terrace! The terrace is our favourite place! We get the sun from morning to night, but as the terrace has a roof, we can enjoy direct sunshine on the lawn, or retreat to the terrace when it gets a bit hot!
Places to Visit: We are in a central position for some lovely days trips to see some local places of interest.
Ronda...about an hours drive into the mountains. A medieval town built on a gorge, see the bridge where the bandits were dispatched to their deaths!
Marbella.... 5 minutes up the N340, walk along the Golden Mile and stop for lunch at any of the beach side bars. Visit Casco Antiquo (Orange Square in the Old Town ) little walkways among the orange trees, and good shops in the evenings..
Puerto Banus... Opulent yachts, expensive shops, great street market on Saturdays, restaurants of every nationality, night clubs, a casino, Mijas Pueblo.... 20 minutes drive up the mountain, a white village with super views of the Mediterranean, lovely for supper on a summer evening.
North Africa...take the hovercraft from Tarifa.
Tarifa ...to see the para-gliders and kites on a huge beach.
Try a trip to Gibraltar; a Rock Tour by minibus to visit St Michaels Cave & World War Tunnels, and getting up close and personal with the Barbary Apes is just the thing for fantastic holiday memories! Don’t forget your passport!!

CHILDRENS PLACES OF INTEREST
In Summer, you can take the family to visit the largest Aquapark on the Costa del Sol in Torremolinos, just 30 minutes away. There is plenty to keep children of all ages happy and some excellent shallow pools and attractions for toddlers. Fuengirola/Mijas has a smaller aquapark, Parque Acuatico Mijas, that is only 15 minutes or so drive and just as much fun.
Also along the coast is the resort of Benalmadena, where the family can spend a fabulous day out visiting the lovely Paloma Park with peacocks and semi-tame rabbits running around (take a picnic and food for the ducks!), then pop next door to Selwo Marina or perhaps take a tour on the mini train or Red Bus tour around Benalmadena.
Also in Benalmadena is the award-winning Puerto Marina which is a nice alternative to Puerto Banus. It is an exclusive port with a selection of restaurants, bars, and the delightful Sea Life Centre with a touch-tank for little visitors, but for a luxury touch then don't miss nearby Puerto Banus, millionaires playground indeed!
In Fuengirola you will find the Biopark, a new type of zoo based on respect for nature and the preservation of natural species. Here you can meet the latest members of the family, two beautiful rare white tigers which can sadly only now be seen in captivity.
Selwo Aventura has the longest zip-wire in Europe: Ziwa, a fixed zip-wire of 116 metres length, enables visitors to slide down it and enjoy a “bird’s eye view” of the Great Lake of Africa, located in Nature’s Portico, the first of the routes at Selwo Aventura.
Ziwa, “flying over the lake” in Swahili, reaches a top speed of 14,8 metres per second and has an incline of 13 metres. The new Selwo Aventura zip-wire has its starting point to the north of the Lake of Africa, next to the entrance to the Canyon of the Birds, where a specially designed turret has been installed from which intrepid adventurers begin a very special “flight” which enables them to slide down and enjoy a “bird’s eye view” of the Great Lake of Africa and the lush vegetation surrounding it. The slide finishes on the arrival platform, installed to the south of the Lake, very close to the Park’s Primates.
Ziwa is designed for all members of the public to enjoy as there are no special physical conditions required. The weight required for this activity must range between 35kg and 90 kg.
Over 6s will love a trip to Aventura Amazonia, an adventure course built into the tree tops of the pine forests in Elviria, just 3km from the Apartment....just 100 metres or so from Opencor
Golf Courses: There are 56 Golf Courses on the Costa Del Sol, the nearest to us is the 9 hole course at Greenlife Golf with a Driving Range. You will pass it on the way to the apartment. The nearest 18 hole is not much farther, Santa Maria Golf, the course runs behind Santa Maria Village. Within 10 minutes there are: Santa Clara, Rio Real, Marbella, Cabopino. Mijas, Santana, details in the apartment or check out their websites. They can all be pre-booked before you leave home.
