Ramblas 1 and 2

We had a great stay at the two apartments, which can be joined, in November 2007. Cameron met us promptly at 9 pm, then spent as much time as we needed making us comfortable. He went beyond explaining the details of the rental to sharing info on local markets, restaurants, etc.
The building itself was beautiful, as were the old decorative elements of the apts. It was compact but comfortable. There were some nice travel books available. We enjoyed some funky original artwork, the pretty old tiles on the floors, and the privacy of the small bathrooms. I was somewhat intimidated by the dishwasher, which seemed quite different from American appliances, so I was glad the friend who joined us is European and knew how to use it. But that's just my issue. We had a lot of fun preparing simple meals in the kitchen. A small elevator is available if you don't wish to exercise up and down the stairwells. Overall, it worked well for our party of 6, 3 adults and 3 children.
The location was incredibly convenient--maybe 3 blocks from the Ramblas. In fact, we were able to troup up to Plaza Catalunya to catch the bus to the airport. Our stay in Barcelona was fun, and the apartment really added to the experience.
Making reservations was also easily done with Cameron, who showed utmost concern for the safety of the transaction (in terms of protecting personal information, etc).
Go for it. Enjoy.
