Arco Del Paraiso Apartment Venice

I stayed at the Arco Del Paradiso Apartment in January 2010. It is perfectly situated. From the Rialto Bridge it takes less than four minutes to walk to the apartment. I received a really friendly and warm welcome. I was shown every little detail of the apartment. Due to the fact that there were forecasts of high tides I was even provided with a brand new pair of wellington boots! The apartment is situated on the top floor on the Salizada San Lio, with a great view of the street below. It is extremely comfortable. The beautiful bedroom even had a small walk in closet. The living room/dining room has every possible convenience(the very comfortable sofa can become an extra double bed). The satelite televison meant I could keep up with my favourite news programmes. The beautiful bathroom had a great shower. There was also a washing machine. The kitchen was very well equipped. I was tempted to do some cooking! In spite of the fact that I was in heart of Venice and on a busy street I had no problem sleeping at night as the windows, once closed, keep out virtually all the noise. I stayed in January and the owners insisted I leave the heating on at all times. In fact it got so warm I had to turn down the heating quite often. I noticed that the apartment had air-conditioning, so in summer you would have no problem. I also had access to free wifi, which meant I could do all my emails and keep up to date with things. I was even able to look up the Italian for "24 hr. ticket" which meant I had no difficulty asking for a day ticket for the ACTV water-boat system. The apartment is in a beautiful part of Venice, but within a few minutes walking I could reach any of the places I wished to go to. I was delighted when I arrived to find all the descriptions of the apartment and it's situation were completely accurate, including the very handy supermarket which was just one minute away on the same street. There were wonderful restaurants and cafes nearby, though you should also venture further afield, as Venice has so much to offer in terms of cuisine and at very reasonable prices. This was one of the most relaxing breaks I've had in a long time and the very reasonable price for the apartment at that time of the year, meant I didn't break the bank. I have no hesitation in recommending the Arco Del Paradiso apartment; it really was a touch of Paradise! Martin from Dublin, Ireland. (Stayed from 7-14 January 2010)
