This 19th century chateau is located between Créon and Capian of Bordeaux region.It's near Pessac Léognan Sauterne, St Emilion. The chateau is surrounded by forest of 100 year old trees and wildlife, such as deer, wild boar and owls. This bed and breakfast offers a quiet getaway with leisure activities. There is a heated pool, a ping pong table, a baby football table, board games, feeding of chickens and ducks if you would like a taste of farm life, an orchard, garden, and vineyards. There is also plenty of parking. In each room there is wi-fi internet access. Linens and towels are provided. The morning breakfast is served under the trees with a beautiful view of the pond and the swans. Upon request, the owners can provide a tour of the surrounding vineyards and a tour of their grand cru vineyards in St Emilion.

The Bordeaux region offers a wealth of activities, from colorful gardens, medieval museums, casinos, beaches and golf courses to music festivals and riverboat excursions, cycling, hiking, wine tasting, fine dining and shopping. The chateau itself is in a quiet area between Créon and Capian. The region is well known as 'Entre Deux Mers' (between two seas) of La Gironde. The chateau is 45 minutes from the city of Bordeaux and one hour from the ocean. Surrounding the chateau are rolling hills with vineyards, and especially, St Emilion, which is a medieval village famous for its wine. The owners of the chateau are happy to provide tours and wine tasting of their winery in St Emilion. There is also the Sauterne wine region and les graves. Nearby, there is a Gothic church, a Benedictine Abbay and an English Baside.

Chateau Galeteau 2009

We are having a wonderful time at Chateau Galeteau and we are made very welcome by Jean Michel and France, our daughter enjoyed playing with their grandchildren. We had a visit to the Vinyard and a wine tasting of the St Emillion Grand Cru. We found the French guests to be charming and very friendly. I would recommend this Chateau for any family who would like a quiet and peaceful relaxing holiday with great food and wine in the locality, the beaches of the area are only 1.5 hr drive.
Thanks to France and Jean-Michel for a wonderful experience.

Friends for life and Holiday of a lifetime!

My husband, friends and their family originally visited Jean Mi and France in 2007. We found this property by luck!! Jean Mi and France were so warm and welcoming that made this place a regular destination for us! This was the best accomodation we've had the 2x we visited Europe. We went back this year to introduce our Baby Taylor to them! They showed us their properties and took us for great wine tasting. Jean Mi's most recent vineyard and wine label has great potential! It was a beauty and an honor to have tasted from the barrel! Thank you so much! We will be back in 2011. Definite a home away from home.

I stayed at the chateau in March this year with 8 members of my family and was amazed that such a beautiful place exists.
The chateau itself was amazing and the owners couldn't do enough for us.

We asked for dinner at the chateau on the Saturday night and we were served a stunning 3 course meal with wine and champagne to wash it down,

The grounds & rooms are beautiful and I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a relaxed weekend/week.

I would suggest you have a car as it is quite remote and would definitely advise a trip into Bordeaux to see this wonderful city
