Kirkhouse Farmhouse is surrounded by beautiful Scottish countryside only 20 miles from Edinburgh on the edge of the hamlet of Dolphinton - between West Linton, one of the most beautiful villages in Scotland - and Biggar, a small market town full of history and character. A large private garden leads directly onto the estate, which offers 300 acres of mixed woodland, heather hillside, wildlife habitat, picturesque streams and farmland grazing - a miniature of the Scottish Borders landscape. The farmhouse dates from the 19th Century and forms part of a working farm, built on the site of a Roman encampment.

The nearby village of West Linton and the town of Biggar are just 10 minutes drive away and offer a full range of local amenities including some excellent restaurants. Scotland's two arterial motorways, the M74 and the M8 are both less than 30 minutes away, and Kirkhouse provides a quiet base from which to explore the many attractions of central and southern Scotland.
