It looks far better online than it is

It's an extremely small place, with a first floor featuring a view of the garbage bin outside. There is a toilet and tiny sink on the entrance floor and a shower in the basement, adjacent to the bedroom. There is no real, proper kitchen where you would do any more than smear cheese on bread. The refrigerator was unplugged and smelly when we arrived. The washer/dryer (single unit) took at least three hours to do each, small load.
Long story short, after 10 minutes in the apartment, my girlfriend broke down and cried because of her disappointment. Keep in mind, she's a trooper, but the space was remarkably bad.
On the upside, the neighborhood is cool. There is a farmers' market on the main street (a block away) on Saturday that has the finest assemblage of food I've seen in my life. You're close to the subway station and we were close enough to walk home from Sacre Coeur.
Long story short, good location, terrible apartment. I don't know how anyone could possibly give this a 5 star rating.
Owner's Response: The Americans are used to see the life in big in their country.
In France everything adorned them small.
The apartment has only good comments.
All the vacationers are satisfied.
The apartment is appropriate(clean) and nicely decorated.
