Well equipped 2 bedroom apartment for rent with hydrobath plus a sofa bed in the lounge. The apartment has a 45 square metre patio, with outside dining table, 4 sunbeds and a brick bbq. The apartment is newly painted (winter 2008) and caters for all needs. There is a stereo, tv, and dvd including a selection of cd's for your entertainment. The kitchen has a hob and oven, freezer and fridge, washing machine, dishwasher, juicer, microwave, coffe maker and toaster, plus all the kitchen utensils you would have at home. A secured safe is also provided in one of the bedrooms. The apartment faces the hills with lovely sunset views. There is secure underground parking for 1 car and a communal pool open from June to October, plus a communal childrens play area. The apartment is close to the beach, about a ten minute walk , 5 minutes from the local supermarket and a 20 minute walk from the sea water spa. The complex has a number of bars and restaurants all within walking distance.

The Marina D'Or complex is in Oropesa Del Mar, which is 45 minutes from Valencia airport or 1 1/4 hrs from Reus, serviced by Easyjet, Ryanair and Click airways.A new airport is due to open late 2009 in Cabanes. The complex is ideally located for the Formula One racing and America Cup in Valencia,(45 minutes by train). The Benicassim festival is 15 minutes away and local transport is available to and from the complex. It is within easy access of: Castellon , Benicassim - large aquarium, water park and go karting,Port Aventura Theme Park- near Salou, Ebro Delta - a wildlife nature reserve,Peniscola and Vinaros - bustling coastal towns with diving, Morella a beautiful hillside town. Oropesa town is within walking distance and has lovely beaches and numerous bars and restaurants. A weekly market is held in the old town. Playa La Concha has a small port with scenic snack bars. The complex is ideally situated for leisuely walks along the coast or protected wildlife areas.

Additional information about rental rates

  • Prices for long weekends available on request.
    Will accept Sterling or Euro payments.
    Normal changeover days are Saturdays, but can be flexible. Apartment must be vacated by 10 on date of departure and is available from 5pm on arrival. However, these times can be flexible depending on availability. Please request if changes are required.
    Easter and Christmas bookings are considered mid season
    Sterling payments may be made by direct transfer, pay pal or cheque. Euro payments by direct transfer only.
  • 20% deposit required at time of booking and must be received within three days of confirming the booking. The balance is payable 6 weeks before arrival.
    £150 refundable deposit required in case of breakages. This must be paid 6 weeks before departure and is returned within 10 days of arrival home..
    The Spanish key holder requires a €100 deposit to receive the keys , which is returned when keys are returned on day of departure. a copy of the lead persons passport is also required by Spanish law.

    A full apartment pack , inventory and complex plan will be sent on completion of payment.
  • Welcome food packs can be arranged locally at an additional charge if required.

Both rooms are nicely but simply furnished.

The apartment was repainted throughout during the winter of 2008 and a new boiler fitted Smoke alarms and a carbon monoxide alarm are fitted for your safety. The apartment is very well equipped with all you could require. Linen is provide but beach towels are not.

Marina D'Or: The Marina D'or holiday complex is the largest holiday village in Costa Azahar. The area is known as the Orange Blossom Coast - for obvious reasons. The complex has been tastefully built with consideration to the local environment. The gardens are beautifully maintained and contain plants from all 5 continents. The beach is long, clean and sandy and sunbeds are available at a small cost. The sea is gently sloping and safe for children. The complex has a number of restaurants, catering to all tastes and budgets plus bars. there is a large supermarket within the complex and another in Oropesa town. There is a large spa, with both indoor and outdoor pools that offers beauty treatments as well. The cost of the spa is €33 for 3 hours. Beauty treatments and massages can be booked locally. Marina D'Or will be expanding in 2009/11 to its sister resort Marina D'Or Golf. This will be located 3km away and contain 2 18 hole golf courses, designed by Sergio Garcia and Greg Norman

Relaxing holiday in the sun

Myself and four female friends stayed at the apartment for a week in August. The apartment is great, very clean and very spacious, the photo's don't do it enough justice! We had a great time, the kitchen is extremely well equipped and we enjoyed some amazing barbeques watching the sun go down. It is very peaceful on the sun terrace, as you are so high up and its also very private. The swimming pool is a good size and never got too busy either. It was great being able to lounge on the terrace and then go for a dip in the pool. A taxi to Benicassim is fairly cheap and easy also, and its great to visit for a nice meal and drinks.

A relaxing break in Oropesa

I have just returned from a relaxing break to Oropesa with a group of girlfriends. The apartment was spotless and very well maintained. The patio has a beautiful view of the mountains and gets the sun all evening, so many a night was had cooking on the fantastic stone built barbeque as the sun went down.

The apartment is a short distance away from a well stocked supermarket, and also near to local restaurants and bars that you can wander along the beach front to. The beach is just one block away and you also have access to the swimming pool at the front of the apartments.

I am looking forward to hopefully returning in the near future for another lovely week in the sun.

Top notch appartment!!!

This was my second visit to the appartment!! It was again remarkably well presented,spotlessly clean and stocked to an extreme standard with all those little " extras".The area continues to sympathetically develop, to offer everything for both the quiet life and the more adventurous/sporting episodes-car hire can be cheap so make the most of venturing beyond the accomodating local activities/restaurants/bars/sandy beaches etc, to what I believe is still the "genuine" Spain - marvellous helpful people who love to party and make friends and so proud of their beautiful sceneries! The appartment is a beautiful way to start and finish your days, with the sun calmly hitting the patio for breakfast and now an added patio BBQ to watch the glorious sunset! Highly recommended both for the short and long stay - for the "get out and see/feel Spain " as well as the "leave me alone with a good book" sort.I certainly will be going back-with the golf clubs next time...

Everything you could want

We stayed for a long weekend and thought it was great.

Our stay was fabulous, everything was shiny and new. The apartment was clean and well maintained; it really did have everything you could want (down to corn-on-the-cob forks) and Razorlight CD's!

Marina D'or was a bit quiet, apparently as we were out of season several of the bars/restaurants were closed, but it didn't matter as we were able to use the authenitic Spanish BBQ oven out on the patio.

Can't recommed the apartment enough...

Apartment was lovely especially the balcony that gets all day sun with a fantastic bbq. Beach and Gardens are gorgeous, a great beach relaxing holiday.
