General location - chilling out:
This is a superb site to just chill and lose all the stresses of real life. The complex is mostly residential and quiet. The area behind has been reserved for a golf course.
If you are after a wild, party holiday then this site is not for you - Although there is plenty of this going on in Puerto Del Carmen if you fancy a change.
In the marina, 5 minutes walk, there is a superb range of restaurants, all very reasonable priced, and Club del Mar is probably the best on the island and well worth at least one visit during your stay.
General location - site seeing:
Because of its central coastal position and it's proximity to the main LZ-2 road (approx. 2km away) this is also an excellent location to start any sightseeing trips. The island has loads to see and do and if you are not familiar with the culture the first stop must be Manriques Foundation, about 20 minutes away. Manrique was a native of the island, a contemporary of Picasso, and instrumental in establishing guidelines to stop the over-development of the island - as an example all buildings are not much more than a couple of stories high and the only high rise block is in the capital. Manrique sites include Mirador del Rio, Cactus Gardens, Contempoary art museum, Fire Mountain and Jameos del Agua. The north of the island is an absolute dream and a complete contrast to the developed south - an absolute must for you to visit.
Car hire and other things:
Car hire is not necessary, but in order to see a little of the real Lanzarote we strongly urge you to take a hire car for some if not all of your stay. Most major car hire companies are available. Cots and high chairs can be hired in for you, please enquire at time of booking..
