First time to Barcelona!

This was my first trip to Spain. My wife and 2 friends accompanied me on this exporation of Madrid, Toledo and Barcelona. Our stop in Barcelona brought us to Javier and Josefina's apartment in the Eixample district. Although there is not much to do in this particular neighborhood, the apartment was quiet and located an easy walk from 2 different metro stops. Josefina met us at the door and her English speaking husband, Javier did a wonderful job of welcoming and orienting us to the apartment and the city. He even offered to book us a restaurant reservation the evening we arrived!!
Javier was excellent at answering all questions via email leading up to our trip. The apartment was clean, had ample space and comfortable. One thing to note is that although the listing says air conditioning, the only A/C unit is wall mounted in the living room, not the bedrooms. This, however, did not seem to cause much problem, even in the heat of June.
I would absolutely recommend choosing this place for your trip to Barcelona. Especially, if you prefer quiet and peaceful evenings to the craziness of La Rambla. Gracias Javier y Josefina!
