Corralejo Villa Rental Photos and Description

2 Bedrooms, 1 bathroom, sleeps upto 8.

This villa was built in 2005. It is detached with off street parking to the front and a secure garden to the rear. The garden has a private heated pool, 6m x 3m, large patio area and barbecue. The inside of the villa is furnished to a very standard and should cater for all of your home comforts. In the lounge, you will find two satellite systems installed. There's a very good TV package with all UKTV and most SKY channels, including Sky Sports, BBC, ITV and RTE. There's a CD and DVD player. The kitchen is fully fitted with all mod cons and there is an outside utility room with a washing machine and drying facilities. Wifi is available for a small charge.

Tell me more: The villa is situated in La Capellania just off the main Corralejo to La Oliva road. It has a mountain backdrop to the rear and natural parkland to the front. The parkland stretches all the way down to the famous sand dunes and beaches of Corralejo. A car is recommended because, although there are a few beaches in town, the majority of Corralejos beaches are on the outskirts of town. There are many little villages and towns to explore in Fuerteventura, both along the coast and in the mountains, and the roads are very good and are easy to navigate.

Eating out: Eating out is cheap in Corralejo and the standard of the restaurants is excellent, especially in the old town and along the seafront. Live entertainment is often provided if you dine in one of the two squares in the old town. The villa is on the doorstep of La Oliva, Villeverde, Larjares and El Cotillo. All of which boast excellent restaurants and if you don't fancy driving, taxis are cheap and reliable.

On the doorstep : If you don't fancy getting out and about then the area itself has everything you'll need in walking distance. There's an excellent Supermarket, British bar, Internet cafe and a Spanish restaurant/cafe just 200 metres from the villa.

About Michael Poulter

Born 1965 and brought up in Sheffield U.K. I am a qualified carpenter and builder by trade. I came to Jersey C.I in 1989 because of work and decided to stay. I like the quiet life and love to be near the beach so Jersey suits me. These are also the reasons why I chose Corralejo for my holiday home.

Michael Poulter purchased this villa in 2005

Why Michael Poulter chose Corralejo

I have family who live in Lanzarote. I did not particularly want to be on their doorstep and I prefer to have a more relaxing holiday. Lanzarote is only 45 minutes on the ferry so it is no problem visiting each other when I stay in Corralejo. Fuerteventura is the last of the canaries to be developed and therefore has learnt from the mistakes that the other Islands have made and not made the same mistakes. A lot of people who live and work in the other Islands take their holidays in Fuerteventura because of this.

What makes this villa unique

Far enough out of town to not have to bother with town if you don't feel like it, everything needed is on the doorstep. If you don't fancy the beach then the garden is South facing and has the sun all day. Because of the location you are actually better placed to visit other areas of the Island than if you were staying in town.

Guestbook comments from the owner

Jon Cooper. Apr 06. We had a lovely holiday & thought the villa was very nice. It was well furnished, clean & excellent value for money. We will definitely recommend it to our friends. Regards Jon.

Mr & Mrs Watts + 2 grand children. Aug 06.We had a lovely time, the villa is more than expected, bed linen lovely, towels lovely, sky TV fantastic. I don’t think there is anything you could improve on regarding comfort, a real home from home. We found a fantastic restaurant 'El Horno', we ate there most nights, the food was out of this world. We will definitely stay at Casa Miguel again & for longer next year. Thanks Joanne. Jim Cairnes. Aug 06. I would like to thank you on behalf of the family for an absolutely wonderful holiday. Wish we could have stayed longer. Already spreading the word. Amalia. Sept 06. We absolutely loved your villa. Thanks. Neil Foreman. Oct 06. Just got back, great villa, many thanks. Yolander. Nov 06. Your villa was perfect for us & the location is great.

Casa Miguel. 2/4/08 - 12/4/08.

  • 5 of 5

We stayed in "Casa Miguel" for 10 nights in April 2008.

The villa is beautiful, spacious, well equipped, a real home from home and the location is ideal, quiet and away from it all , but a short drive into Corrallejo.

We have been to Fuerteventura a number of times, but this was our most enjoyable, relaxing from the moment we arrived. It was reasurring to have your Management Team at the end of the 'phone and the pool was kept clean for us. I am currently making arrangements with my Mum and her friend to visit the villa with us next year, so will be contacting you soon regarding booking. I think we have found our ideal base in Fuerteventura!! We had a BAD experience with a Travel Agent last year when we went to America, and am so pleased our first experience at "doing it ourselves" was such a positive one! Thank-you.

Kind Regards,

Lovely villa, bit isolated

  • 4 of 5

Four of us stayed here for a week in January, first visit to Fuerteventura. Fortunately we had hired a car, and did a fair bit of exploring. We thought the villa was lovely, have only ever been on package holidays to cheap apartments before, which are almost certainly vile. It was spacious, clean, comfortable and very well equipped. I was disappointed with the pool, didn't realise it was so small and had been looking forward to some swimming! Oh well, you can't have everything! Pros and cons to the location - the initial map showed it to be at Geafond, which is walkable to the town; it's a lot further out at La Cappelania, I wouldn't want the walk down that busy road, especially in the dark, so one of us had to drive every night. But it is nice and quiet. We were also surprised to see all the shops and units closed apart from the supermarket and Shooters bar. Like a ghost town. All in all we had a great week, first holiday in 3 years, very restful and weather was good for January. Couldn't visit Los Lobos because wind cancelled the boats, so we'll have to go back!

Nice Relaxing Christmas

  • 3 of 5

Overall a nice relaxing Christmas, good sized patio, high standard of interior furniture & comfy beds.

Lucky to have quiet neighbours either side & behind us since the units are quite closely packed in.

This link-attached villa is however, showing its age. At 9 years old it would benefit from a little time, love & attention.

The pool leaks, requiring daily topping up which leaves it practically unheated.

We had nice warm days as the weather was very kind, but it was quite cool in the evening & there is no form of heating as radiators are broken (extra blankets were utilized!)

Outside furniture could do with replacing, & the saucepans are well past their best-before (very scratched & non-stick falling off into food)

In addition there is no longer a stereo / radio, you only get the basic UK channels and a few freebie Sky channels, & the Wifi signal is too low to be usable

I'm sure all of this could be easily remedied so as to return it to its former five-star glory

Owner's Response: Thank you for your comments. I was there at the end of November and knew that the pool was leaking, I was informed that the leak was caused by the jets and that it had been fixed at the begining of December so there shouldn't have been any leaks. I was not informed until after you had left that there was only 1 radiator working, The 1 that was broken has been replaced. Dispite the sun beds looking tarnished they are only 6 months old and are in perfect working order and the covers are brand new, I bought them in November. I shall ask our management company to replenish the kitchen ware although she assures me she does this on a regular basis. The Sky TV is the family pack plus sports and we have a seperate system with all UKTV channels, these are the only channels anybody asks for. When the saterlite moves we gain a few channels and we loose a few. Radio stations can be received through the Sky TV and there is a CD/DVD player but most people prefer to bring their own ipod or similar. I noticed that the wifi was not good this time so I went across to Pablos cafe (free wifi). I have never had a problem with it in the past. I have recently made arrangements for a new service to be installed along with a smart tv box which will provide a further 500+ channels.

Just arrived back from the most relaxing 10 days at Casa Miguel.

The villa is a real home from home and extremely well equipped, the outside area is great to unwind after a long day, our 12 year old daughter loved the pool while we sat with nice cold drink.

We hired a car which is a must, one day while out we came across Casa Pon in Los Molinos quite by accident as it is off the beaten track the food was simple but tasty and the scenery was absolutely stunning.

Closer to the villa the lagoons at El Cotillo are beautiful.

I would highly recommend Casa Pablo Emilio the host and his staff make you feel very welcome and the food is very good too.

Shooters is great if you like sport.

We would highly recommend the villa to family and friends and hope to return ourselves in the near future.

Thank you Michael for all your help when booking the holiday and helping us have a brilliant family holiday.

Highly recommended for a quiet relaxing holiday

  • 5 of 5

We booked this villa for our week long holiday in Fuerteventura. The villa offered all the amenities that were advertised and much more. The place was very clean and well-maintained. The rooms are all of a good size and well furnished. The location of the villa was in a very quiet locality but at the same time beach, supermarket, harbour and restaurants were all a few minutes drive from the villa. The management couple were very helpful and extremely nice to deal with. The property was very child friendly as well (we had a 2.5 year old with us). Would highly recommend this place to families with kids and friends.

The location is the key here. You will find yourselves no more than 10 mins drive from any of the superb beaches, mountain views & the famous sand dunes of Corralejo. The mountains provide some lovely sunsets & are around 10 mins drive inland. The beaches are very popular with both sunbathers & watersports enthusiasts alike. Flag beach, one of the most famous, is 5 minutes drive away. Everything from national history to natural beauty, mountain activities to watersports & beaches, is within easy driving distance. Head towards the centre of Corralejo & the islands of Lanzarote & Los Lobos dominate the skyline. Ferries run everyday to both. You will also pass the Bacu waterpark. The kids will love it. Its 3 mins drive away & also has a bowling alley, golf driving range & market days. 10 mins drive in the opposite direction & you will come to El Cotillo on the west coast. It is littered with beautiful beaches & lagoons. It also has a small harbour & half a dozen very good restaurants.

Other Activities: kite surfing, quad bikes, squash, gymnasium

Golf: The golf course is a 9 hole course at the moment with plans to expand. It caters for both beginners and experienced players alike with left and right handed clubs available to rent. The course is in Corralejo about 5 minutes drive from the villa.
