We are in Teba, one of Inland Andalucia´s historic “white pueblos”, nestled into the mountains with spectacular views over the surrounding countryside. It is famous for its Castle of the Stars and has a very interesting history stretching back to Roman times. Teba is a 50 minute drive Northwest from Malaga airport and centrally located and within easy reach to the beautiful towns of Ronda and Antequera and the famous cities of Seville, Cordoba and Granada are just over an hours drive away.
Only 12 kms away is the Andalucian Lake District, a beautiful area with a nature reserve that has 3 large crystal clear, turquoise lakes. The carp fishing is fantastic and pedaloes can be hired. It’s a weekend holiday destination for Andalucian people and boasts lakeside restaurants, cycle trails, hiking, camping and mountain climbing. However many people choose to just picnic and relax there. Also in this area is the famous El Chorro Gorge where the film “Von Ryans Express” was made.
