If you are coming from SOUTH: take motorway A1 and leave it at the exit Val di Chiana Bettolle; then take Junction Siena-Bettolle. When you get to Siena, take road S408, towards Montevarchi; once you get to Pianella, go on for 1 km and then turn right to S.Regolo on road C24; the road C24 is the second right turn after You pass through Pianella. Go on for about 2 km, and you will get to Lucignano II. To easy get the Villa We strongly recommend only the route above. Don't go to A1 Valdarno Exit or Greve in Chianti.   • The rent include the apartment 'Le Logge' at first floor (6 People): 3 twin/double bedrooms each with private toilette, kitchen-diningroom with fireplace, livingroom with fireplace on the first floor, livingroom with view on the garden on the ground floor; electricity, gas, water, weekly change of bed linen and bath towels, dishwasher, washing machine, iron, hair-drier, barbecue, patio, garden, garden furniture, private parking. The use of Villa is not exclusive, others guests could be present in the other apartment at ground floor (max 4 People).
  • CHECK-IN: from 4:00 pm to 7:30 pm; If you are late please call (+39) 3281337055. CHECK-OUT: before 9:30 am of the day following the last night of stay. PAYMENT: 50 % in cash or by credit card (Visa, V-Pay, MasterCard, Maestro) at Check-In; 50% as caution money by credit card or bank transfer at confirmation of booking. The caution money will be entirely lost in event of cancellation of reservation. HEATING AND FIREWOOD: heating EUR 25 per apartment per day on request only, firewood EUR 20 for 100 kilos on request only to pay at Check-In. DEPOSIT: EUR 150 cash per apartment, the whole of which you will be given back at Check-Out, provided that no damage is found in the apartment.   • The Blue Room overlooks the vineyard stretched out on the opposite hill, framed by the cedar of Lebanon at the centre of the garden. The bathroom, provided with a comfortable bathtub and double Carrara marble wash-basin, gives onto the cherry-trees below. The Green Room, in the fresh shadow of a big plane-tree, overlooks the wide Tuscan cotto terrace, placed in a panoramic position in the garden below. In the cosy bathroom there is an uncommon shower provided with a porthole looking onto the surrounding green woods. The Red Room, spacious and comfortable, has two corner-windows facing north, with a view of the charming ridge of Chianti mountains and the small olive grove of the Podere. This room as well has a bathroom with a shower.

Notes: In the elegant Sitting Room there are two comfortable, large sofas and a marble and Tuscan cotto fireplace. WHAT YOU CAN DO (part #1): EXCURSIONS IN CHIANTI: The whole area surrounding the Villa, in the heart of Sienese Chianti, is studded with mediaeval villages, churches and castles, easy to get to (some of them even on foot). SIGHTSEEING TOURS OF TOWNS: The location of the Villa is the ideal starting point for cultural tours (even one-day long) of the main Tuscan towns. TREKKING AND CYCLING: For the lovers of trekking and cycling there is a wide range of charming paths and white roads crossing breath-taking landscapes. ART, MUSEUMS, EXHIBITIONS: The Provincia of Siena and all Tuscany boast a lot of museums known all around the world, where one can find all through the year Renaissance, Mediaeval, Ancient, Etruscan works of art. an outstanding property!!

In a trip filled with great sights and experiences, the one thing my family & I keep coming back to as THE highlight was this superb property. Although it's a bit out of the way (@ 15k from Siena), the property itself is a dream. The upstairs apartment (the larger of the two) is huge, with 3 large bedrooms (each with full bath/shower), plus tons of general living space. The design work and the quality materials/finishes/fixturing and the furnishings that went into the owners' rehabilitation of this house are outstanding. There is also laundry, a great kitchen (pick up groceries in Siena - unfortunately, nothing full-service closer), a nice TV/DVD system...and...did I mention tons of SPACE???

Grounds around the property are wonderful, full of olive trees and vineyards...my 7 & 9 year old daughters had a great time running around & exploring. There is plenty of opportunity/space for simply relaxing & gazing out over the countryside. And compared to the incessant noise of every other place we stayed in Italy (even in the Cinque Terre), the peaceful nature of this property was a blessing.

The owners are WONDERFUL people, very nice and helpful. The 2nd apartment (on the ground floor), although smaller, is also a beautiful and clever rehab of what used to be a working farm house (meaning that livestock used it at one time). I am giving Enzo my permission to pass on my email address for contact as a reference by any one interested in this property. If you are serious about this property, please ask him for it.

My ONLY bit of additional advice (relates to Italian automobile travel in general...and you WILL need a car in this area) is that you REALLY need to invest in a portable GPS (such as Tom-Tom or Garmin) with a download of Italian maps. It was a like-saver (we'd probably still be there, lost -and divorced- without ours!!!). You'll find that the location does make for a nice base for day trips (Siena, Florence, the hill towns, etc.)

Quality villa.

We were extremely fortunate to have found this beautifully restored farmhouse for our short stay in Siena last August. The quality, cleanliness and comfort of the accomodation are second to none. You will not be disappointed. If this property had a pool we would be back every year. Thanks to Enzo and Liliana. You were perfect hosts.

Our favorite Place in Tuscany

Our weeklong experience in the villa was most enjoyable and wonderful. The beautiful original architecture of the farmhouse, and the way it was restored, made it a most comfortable and welcoming place to stay. The views from the place were spectacular and grounds were so well cared for and presented an environment for relaxing. The modern kitchen appliances, clothes washer, cable TV, and radio made life so easy for us during our stay. The beautiful bedrooms, modern bathrooms, sitting rooms and two fireplaces were such an unexpected attraction.

The fact that we had the whole villa to our immediate family, and being that we were located on the second floor, we loved leaving the window shutters open all night long. Once could see the moon, stars and hear the sounds of the night animals while lying in bed. In the morning, we would awaken to the songs of the various birds.

The villa, was set off from a local paved provincial highway by a forth of a mile, and provided a quiet place of refuge away from the busy sounds of everyday life. The highway was a great place to bicycle or jog among the rolling hills and small towns of Tuscany, and provided many breathtaking views of the surrounding countryside.

We have since shared our villa experience with so many people in the States along with our highest recommendation to stay at the villa if they ever travel to Italy. We hope to return some day, and we expect that it will be exactly as we had experienced it the first time around. The villa being located so close to our favorite city in Italy, Siena, added to the overall charm and convenience of the place.

Our wonderful hosts, Enzo and Liliana, and their two sons were most accommodating and such great people. To this day, we consider them as friends.
