This waterfront, vacation home comes with all the amenities: two kitchens (upstairs and down), beautiful living room, cable TV, large deck, and a dining room with a water view. Its location at the end of the road ensures a measure of solitude and quiet.
The village of Lake Ann is within walking distance with two grocery stores, post office, church, and Town Hall. There are many things to do within an easy drive. Summer concerts at Interlochen Arts Academy, eight miles south and east. The Sleeping Bear Sand Dunes and National Park are 20 minutes west, Leland (Fish Town) is 25 miles north, and Traverse City is only twelve miles east. Great swimming and fishing!
There are two bedrooms upstairs, and one bedroom and sleeper sofa in fully-furnished, walk-out basement. There is a kitchen downstairs. Two couples could rent and have a reasonable amount of autonomy up and down, as there is a full bath both up and down.
I am a simulation engineer and work out of my home. My wife is a teacher. We have two married children, and one lovely grand-daughter.
The Owner purchased this house in 2005
This is home turf. My wife and I grew up in the Traverse Area. We love the north land, and hope to retire up here eventually.
We have stayed at this Lake Ann home twice and are looking forward to our third visit. The home has plenty of room and is clean and comfortable. It has a very "homey" feel. The kitchen is well equipped. It also has a large deck overlooking the lake, great for having a cup of coffee in the morning or glass of wine or a soft drink in the evening. Bryan Lake is small, but good for taking the rowboat out and enjoying some relaxing fishing. Also, because the lake is small, the noise is minimal. The owners are very responsive to any need you might have. The location is also good, as it is not unreasonably far to Traverse City or Lake Michigan and provides easy access up into the Leelanau Peninsula, which is one of our favorite places to visit. The home is also close to Lost Lakes Pathway, which has over six miles of moderate hiking or mountain biking trails, and Interlochen and Mistwood golf courses. We stayed off-season, in September. We would recommend this property to a friend or relative.
We spent a wonderful relaxing week with our children and grandchildren. It is a wonderful place to relax and experience nature. The house is comfortable, well-kept and very roomy. It is well supplied to meet all your needs. A large deck overlooking the lake is a great place to relax, while enjoying the natural habitat. There are lots of beach toys for all to enjoy. We particularly enjoyed the paddleboats and playing in the water. The house is very close to the Lake Ann village, where you can get needed supplies, etc. Located near Sleeping Bear Dunes area, there are many choices for activities.
We highly recommend this location for families of all ages.
Our family has been vacationing here for several summers now. It is such a great location. Bryan Lake is quiet and we often don't see more than a few other people in a days time. We swim and boat and read the days away. We cook our dinners over the fire pit. We travel to Leland for a days adventure and to buy fresh fish. Our children love to swim and fish and hunt for frogs. The house is clean and comfortable and well equipped. Thank you for sharing your Lake House with us. We consider it our home away from home.
My family & I would like to thank you so much for sharing your beautiful home with us. The house had every possible amenity and the location was magical. We were able to enjoy the canoe, paddle boat and row boat on Bryan Lake as well as skiing and tubing on larger Lake Ann. Close enough to get the family reunion experience without too much togetherness. :) We couldn't have asked for a nicer place or a better rental experience.
