Sitting room with dining facilities, T.V, Video, dvd player and Hi-fi. Well equipped kitchen, washing machine, electric cooker, microwave, double bedroom with TV. Bath with shower over, electric storage heating included. Linen provided but not towels. Small garden with patio, parking on site. The property was once a dairy and cowbarn and is still attached to what was the farm house next door.
Porthleven is the most southerly working port in the UK and its historic use can still be seen in the buildings around the harbour. Although its role as a commercial port has long since gone, it is still home to a number of fishing boats, local pleasure craft and visiting yachts.
The village remains unspoilt whilst offering a comprehensive range of services including pubs and award winning restaurants plus a well stocked supermarket ,chemist, newsagent, post office, bakers, fresh fish shop, florist, jewellers and two fish and chip shops. The
Local Activities:
Walkers turning left out of Sea Pinks on the coastal path can enjoy various walks, some circular, towards Loe Bar and Gunwalloe or to Helston. Turning right there is a ten minute walk into the village. From here the coastal path takes you west past unspoilt coves to the old mining settlement of Rinsey. Geologists will find the Lizard Peninsular offers some of the most spectacular geological sites in the UK. The Cottage itself is situated on a green stone dyke.
Garden enthusiasts are spolit for choice as this area has many wonderful gardens to visit such as the Eden Project, The Lost Gardens of Heligan, the gardens at Trebah and Trelissick For more information please ask.
