|Minimum Stay||4 - 7 nights|
Right next to Etretat, you find a charming, completely refurbished house, set in a green, very quiet landscape.
On the ground floor, enjoy
the spacious lounge, Zen and welcoming, with, for music lovers, a grand piano;
the open kitchen, fully equipped,
two bedrooms with their bathroom (shower, toilet, wash-hand basin).
Upstairs, you have two other bedrooms, also with their bathroom (bath, toilet, wash-hand basin).
And if you wish to enjoy an extra bedroom, on the ground floor, facing the south, for 1 person, just ask us the conditions.
With this extra bedroom, the house can welcome up to 9 persons.
Everywhere, light, quiet, timber framework. You hear the seagulls and do not suffer from noise. Sometimes a cow moos, then resumes the tuft of grass it grazed.
You'll love to relax, rest, and from there, go and discover the rich local heritage or practice your favorite sport.
Are you leaving your deckchair, installed on the lawn, under an apple tree? The sea is only 1 km away... as the crow flies. Etretat, celebrated by poets and writers, with its cliffs famous around the world, is nearby. Swimming, sailing, golf, hiking, tennis, horseback riding, shopping, everything is at hand.
Many sunken lanes await you, and will you take you inland or to the waterfront.
Take West motorway n° 13, direction LE Havre.
After 160 km, take exit n°27 "Pont de Tancarville", that will take you on the other side of the river Seine.
Just after the bridge, keep your right, and drive towards and through Saint-Romain de Colbosc and the next villages, following the signs to Etretat.
In Etretat, take the road - direction Le Havre - to our village Le Tilleul (2,5 km).
In Le Tilleul, turn left - rue du Président Coty - after the church.
After, 300 m, turn left again and take la "route du Parlement", for 300 m.
You reach a croosroad: the road goes down on your left ; don't take it.
Take the "no through road" - impasse du Parlement, on your right.
At the very end of this path (not tarred),(n° 161 impasse du Parlement), drive into the large courtyard, and go up the drive to your left.
There you are ; on your right, the house, next to the octagon, is expecting you...
Don't drive up to the house, the grass might be damp.
Park just next to heap of wood, ahead of you.
Welcome to the Parlement!
Etretat housed very famous hosts:
-Guy de Maupassant - writer whose stories relate the life of the Pays de Caux
- Offenbach, composer of boisterous operettas
-Maurice Leblanc-novelist whose hero Arsene Lupin spent his most adventurous and fantastic hours around the Hollow Needle - the Aiguille d'Etretat
- Courbet, Monet who lingered on the beach or the cliffs, and left us priceless impressionist paintings.
Golf enthusiasts or real pros? 1.5 km from home, the magnificent golf of Etretat, considered one of the most beautiful in France, unwinds its 18 holes along the cliffs. Keep your eyes on your ball; resist the temptation to admire the view. Hole n°10 offers some remarkable surprises ... And on the green of the 14th, breathe and open your eyes!
At a short distance,
-André Gide lived in the Château de Cuverville, whose garden is home to the famous "narrow gate" – la Porte étroite
-René Coty, second and last president of the Fourth (French) Republic from 1953 to 1959, spent much time with his family in the village Le Tilleul
Drive 20 km:
Le Havre - rebuilt after World War II under the direction of architect Auguste Perret - was inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List in 2005.
The Malraux Museum owns a collection of paintings by Eugène Boudin that will delight you. And also the works by Monet, Courbet, Corot, Sisley, Jongkind, Renoir, Pissarro, Marquet, van Dongen, Dufy, Leger, Dubuffet, Camoin… And a café where to stop for a drink or more ...
-Fecamp, up the north coast, is the famous harbour from where sailors went fishing cod in Newfoundland.
