The Stone House faces South over a tranquil seawater cove with uninterrupted views to 12th century Rossbrin Castle and then out to Roaring Water Bay and Carberry's 100 isles. Set in its own grounds of 2 acres the house is furnished to a very high standard with a contemporary scheme and sleeps 7 comfortably. It is perfect for a relaxing holiday away from the rat race. The house is spacious, light and well equipped. Schull is 5km away with its pretty shops and delis and of course lovely little pubs and great food. Golf course 2km. The area is well served with gourmet restaurants as well. . Schull in the summer months is renowned for its sailing regattas, festivals and seafood. It is possible to moor a boat in Rossbrin cove which you can view from the house. Rossbrin Cove is an easy one and half hours drive from Cork city. You won't want to leave !

Angela, just a quick note to tell how much we enjoyed the cottage in Rossbrin. The location was excellent and the house first class. I can't remember a more relaxing break at a time when we most needed to relax. The setting of the house was perfect and the finish and facilties inside was just like home. We particularly appreciated and liked the very well equipped kitchen, fishermen calling to the door selling fresh prawns was an unforeseen bonus! My compliments also to the very tasteful decoration, whihc inside and out the place oozed restful!.Thanks for a great break and we hope we can find time again to take it again, perhaps for a longer period.

Reasonable Price for Great Accommodation

We loved our stay at the Stone House and will recommend it as an option to family and friends considering a trip to Ireland. The photos are accurate and the house is lovely and clean. We enjoyed exploring Rossbrin Cove, the nearby castle, the cove itself when the tide was out, and the farmlands framing this idyllic spot. We bought food at the weekly farmer's market in Schull, as well as the grocery there and made many delicious meals in the well appointed kitchen. We loved the food at Antonio's in Ballydehob, and breakfast at Newmans' (wine bar) in Schull is great! Bunratty Inn is a reliable, sprawling pub, an easy place to tuck into on a rainy or sunny day.
Overall a great spot from which to explore and as yet undiscovered pocket of Ireland.

A West Cork Gem !

This is our third summer at The Stone House - our children (ages 12 and 14) dont want to go anywhere else. Just think Swallows & Amazons. A very comfortable house in the most stunning position overlooking a quiet bay.No noisy neighbours and plenty of outside space. Lovely walks all around and great little pubs and restaurants in nearby Schull or Ballydehob. We'll be back ! John & Deirdre
