In Grignan, the most visited village of the Provencal Drome surrounded by lavenders fields: here is la Maison des Chênes (the oak's house). Small rustic house with exposed stones and large beams. It is convenient with a single storey and very functional for a couple with or without children. Its lovely terrace is embellished with garden furniture, a stone barbecue and is lined by a blooming garden surrounded by hedges. Two sun loungers are waiting for you. The lovely village of Grignan (2 km from the house) is dominated by an exceptional castle and one can admire historical sites or stroll in its cobbled alleyways. It is a privileged destination for gastronomy and Provencal lovers (truffle, honey, nougats, olives, wines, etc.). One can also practice numerous sports and the swimming-pool will always be there to cool you down. Festivals, concerts, theatre, flea markets, large markets or fairs all year long but particularly in summer.

At the gates of the Provence, the Luberon and the Gorges de L'Ardeche, Grignan is a village ideally located. Grignan is in the South of the Provencale Drome and boasts of course from the Provence's weather and its vegetation. Village of 1500 souls, 15 min from Nyons, 35 min from Vaison la Romaine, 1h from Avignon and 1h30 from Marseille or the South beaches. For those who love hiking, mountain biking or horse riding: lots of paths on the Montagne de la Lance, the Mont Rachas (departure 20 min away from the house) and of course, the Mont Ventoux as well as the Dentelles de Montmirail. For those who love canoeing: the Gorges de l'Ardeche or the Drome valley (departure 30 min from the house). Several riding schools within a few minutes. Unique heritage for this canton of 14 medieval villages. Convenient aspect: You will find a supermarket 2 km away and the village boasts all necessary shops as well as a pharmacy and several doctors.

The walls are in white rendering and have nice stone niches; the ceiling is made of wood with large beams. Large window overlooking the terrace and the garden. East facing. Notes: Numerous paths from the farmhouse; it is the ideal place for the hiking departures. You can go to Grignan in less than 30 min, discover farms hidden in the forest, take Roman ways and look for fossils with your children. In front of the house, a beautiful terrace with garden furniture and a stone barbecue. In your own garden you will find 2 sun beds. This small garden is surrounded by shrub hedges which attract birds and. squirrels; if you are quiet and...generous, they will certainly share your meals!! In the large park, which surrounds your garden, discover the 70 antique roses with spellbinding fragrance or the different varieties of nerium oleanders and the many plants from the south or, in the shadow of a nice olive tree and a sun bed at your disposal, borrow a book from our library or take a nap during the hot summer!
