Located on a ridge at the southern edge of the village of Farellones, with panoramic views on three sides, Casa Farellones is five minutes walk from the ski lifts at Farellones (you can ski back) and five minutes drive from the ski base at La Parva or El Colorado (you can ski all the way back from here too). Valle Nevado (the third linked valley / resort in the area) is a 15 minute drive but can be accessed easily on skis from either El Colorado or La Parva ski areas.

Skiing and boarding are the main winter activities. There is ample lift serviced terrain in the 3 resorts, but if you feel the need to venture further, Helli ski services are available from La Parva and Valle Nevado

Casa Farellones, The Chalet: Casa Farellones is a four storey private chalet with total built area of approximately 690 square meters set in the village of Farellones, commanding panoramic and unobstructed views to the West and South. The owners, normally resident in Thailand, use the upper two floors primarily during the ski season. The middle floor and lower floors which can be closed off from the main house as a self contained apartments are available for rent at most times of the year.

The Lower Apartment can optionally be combined (by direct internal staircase) with the 4 Bedroom ( sleeps 8) Middle Apartment on the floor above. If you have a group of over 10 pax, please ask about this option.

Staff: Casa Farellones prides itself on our friendly and attentive staff (a Thai couple who have lived in the village for many years) who ensure your stay with us is a comfortable and enjoyable one.

Staff and Services: Maid service is provided daily. The maid provides full housekeeping services.

My wife (Thai) and I (British) are semi retired and now divide our time between homes in Phuket, Thailand (our previous home/business base) and now, chasing the snow, in Big Sky Montana and Farellones, Chile.

Why William Pinsent chose Farellones

After several year of searching Australia, New Zealand, Argentina and Chile for the best Southern hemisphere resort to build a vacation / retirement home (based upon quality of skiing, reliability of snow, access to shopping and services etc) we eventually decided upon Farellones at the end of the the 2001 ski season. Since Farellones filled all of our requirements, save for availability of attractive property to purchase, we bough land, hired and architect and did this the hard (but rewarding) way.

What makes this apartment unique

The huge open spaces, the uncrowded ski area. Total peace and relaxation. All home comforts brought to a relatively simple and underdeveloped area. The Snow. The Sun. Sitting in the hot tub watching the Condors circling on the thermals as the sun sets over Santiago.

Great house, probably best skiing house near SCL

We stayed in early July and had a great time. The house is fully stocked - all you need is ski gear and food/drink. William is a great host and once he showed us the path to the resort (so you dont have to drive) we never touched our car again so get him to show you the route on day 1!!!

Good experience

We went to casa farellones lower appartment in the beginnig of september 09.

We had a great experience because of all itens included in the appartament and kitchen stuff.

The skis resorts are very good (good snow and variety of pistes and off-pists) and we advise you to shop every food and drink in Santiago and also hire a 4x4 car.

The jacuzzi with wine was also very recommended!

Unlike the ski base villages at La Parva and El Colorado, which empty out in the summer months, Farellones has many year round residents and the generally green and tree filled gardens make it a pleasure to visit in the summer.

Notes Officially Check In time is 16.00. Check Out time is 10.00. This is required in order to give us sufficient time to clean and prepare the unit for the next guests arrival.In practice (though this varies with the details of the previous and next bookings) we will try to extend these times - or at least try to set aside some space - without charge - for a few extra hours.
Rate Information:
50% of the rent is required to complete the booking (balance due 60 days in advance). A credit card is
required for a security/damage deposit. Cancel 2 month before arrival - 50% is refunded if the
unit is re-rented.
