You will be in the middle of the Regional National Parc of the Grands Causses (the rugged plateaux surrounding the Tarn river valley and canyon). The region is interesting for both its cultural and natural riches. The Roman pottery excavations, the fine leather manufacturing, the local wine and sheep or goat cheese is matched by the unusual geology of the mountainous region allowing hiking, hang gliding, rock rappelling, caving, canoeing and kayaking. Because of its remote nature, the area?s flora and fauna is unusually rich. The house is situated at the beginning of the Gorges du Tarn between Aguessac and Riviere sur Tarn, at 10 kilometers from Millau. (Millau is the site of Norman Foster?s extraordinary new Viaduc de Millau bridge.) Also at 10 kilometers distance is the Jonte river valley known for good hiking and viewing wild vultures. A glassed-in porch on the balcony with a double bed serves as a pleasant summer bedroom. On the second floor, the large attic includes a bedroom with double bed and washbasin, a bathroom, a separate toilet, and a dormitory with 5 twin beds. Attached to the house outside are a bathroom and a separate toilet. On the garden level: a very large livingdining room with kitchen and fire place, one bedroom with double bed and bath room and one bedroom with two twin beds and bath room. The toilet is separate.

Notes: The kitchen is equipped with a dishwasher, a new Godin stove, and a refrigerator with freezer drawers. The dining room contains a table that extends to seat 20 people and a side board with plates for 20 people. In the living room, a TV, a DVD player, audio and CD players and games. Book shelves are throughout the house. For outside, there is garden furniture (lounging chairs, tables and chairs), a barbecue, and badminton and bocci ball equipment. There is a shaded private parking lot in front of the garage. Bicycles and strollers can be stored in the garage. An oil furnace provides central heating.
