Holiday cottage available for rent in Mouronho, a pretty village in the Beira Alta region of Central Portugal. The cottage, which accommodates up to six people, is set in a landscaped garden of 5000 sq. meters; the owners’ house is on site. The cottage is comprised of two double bedrooms with twin beds and a spacious lounge with a double sofa bed and satellite TV. The cottage has a fully equipped kitchen with a dishwasher and combi-microwave. The bathroom has a full size bath with shower (thermostatically controlled) toilet and bidet. The cottage having a wood burning stove, ideal for winter breaks as well as summer holidays. Children’s cot beds are available upon request; please ask when making your reservation. All linen is included and there is no extra charge.

Nearest Train: Santa Comba Dao at 25 Kilometres
Nearest Beach: beach at 75.0 Kilometres

The village of Mouronho is within easy walking distance and has many amenities including a Post Office, Butchers and a small General Store. There is also a Bar and a Catholic Church. The area is beautifully forested and surrounded by the mountain ranges of Serra do Caramulo, Serra do Açor, Serra de Lousã and the Serra da Estrella which has the highest point in Portugal. There are many beautiful walks within the area including a 3 km trek to the River Alva, there you can find one of the pretty river beaches used locally for bathing. Also within the region are some interesting towns, Arganil (7 km) has a busy market every Thursday and Tabua (13 km) has a local Sunday market where you can also sample the hot barbecued chicken enjoyed by the local folk. Some other towns well worth a visit are Luso, with its natural spring, the very old town of Coja, Monte-Mor-O-Velho, Oliveria do Hospital and Carregal do Sal. Figueira da Foz is a good day out if you fancy a swim in the sea.

We bezochten deze huisjes al 3 keer,
Zijn senioren, heel gezellig huisje met sat tv .
Midden in de natuur, voor rust ideaal,
Vijf minuten van het dorp met de meest noodzakelijke voorzieningen.
Goed verzorgd, schoon, vriendelijke eigenaars

FH korrekt beschrieben. Ist praktisch und zweckentsprechend eingerichtet mit allem, was man im Urlaub braucht. Sauberkeit sehr gut. Vermieter sehr hilfsbereit, sprechen gut Deutsch. Informationen über die Gegend in Mappe enthalten. Unbedingt zu empfehlen.
