Wonderful Vacation Home
We have rented from Jeff & Carrie for 12 going on 13 years, for 2 weeks each summer, which pretty much says it all. However, all of the photos and the video that you see here accurately represent this home's absolutely pristine condition. Each year there is something new that has been done to update the cottage and/or to make it more convenient and comfortable. You simply will not find better, more attentive rental owners, or nicer people, than Jeff & Carrie. They truly want your vacation experience in their home to be impeccable.
Cathead Bay is a place to take yourself off of "the grid" and get away from it all. Though there is a television, we choose not to turn it on. We walk, swim, kayak, hike, bike, read, play games, and totally get away from all of the distractions of daily life. Over the years we have seen many types of wildlife, especially birds, including blue herons and eagles. We have been vacationing here for over 20 years in total, since our children were very small. It continues to call us back each summer, and we find that our two weeks go by way too fast. One of our favorite restaurants is Riverside Inn, in Leeland. We have rarely had a meal that was less than wonderful there, and the food is upscale. For burgers, Knot Just A Bar in Omena is great. There are any number of vineyards on the Peninsula for wine tasting, little shops in Northport, Sutton's Bay, Omena and Leeland are great for shopping and browsing, and art galleries are always interesting. Stop in Joppich's Bay Street Gallery in Northport to see what is showing this year.
If you want to get away from it all, but still have the comforts of home, this is the place to do it.
