We stayed in Casa Madera from the 1st to the 8th March, 2008. Directions to the house, provided by padraig, were excellent. We had no problem finding the house. On arrival we found that the house was very well prepared, clean and tidy. Coffee, tea, milk, sugar etc were available for us. This was very handy as we arrived late evening. The location of the house is excellent. It is in a quiet area, less than 5 minute stroll to a nice beach. A 10 minute stroll into the centre of town and about a 15 walk to the main beach, which is in then opposite direction to the town. Books, video, toys etc were available to use. It was a real home from home. Tim, who lives next door, looks after the property. He has lived in the area for some years and gave very good advice on where to eat. One of the recommended restaurants was "The Point", a pleasant walk along the beach, about 10 minutes. It is owned by a Scottish couple. They were excellent, as was the food. We had a problem with the washing machine. We informed Tim and within an hour it was fixed. Overall we really enjoyed the stay and had no complaints.
Owner's Response: Many thanks for your kind comments Tadg. I'm glad that you all enjoyed your stay so much and that the ammenities were up to scratch. Tim, who looks after the villa for me, and very well at that might I add, is a mine of knowledge on the island. A one man tourist office!!.
Hope you return soon for another stay.
