The island itself is known as a haven for sea turtles. There are numerous small restaurants, bars and cafes on the island, and rental agencies for bikes, children's needs and kayaks. It has seven miles of white sandy beaches, including a large public beach with a small cafe featuring live music and monitored by professional lifeguards. Scuba diving, parasailing, windsurfing, sea kayaking and deep-sea fishing are popular activities.
