Villa Zvrko

This apartment was large, clean and well-maintained and appointed. It is situated up a hill with a lovely view of the bay with fantastic sunsets from the private balcony. The owners provided (at no extra charge) airport transfers and lifts to and from the village centre (Cavtat) on demand, although the walk down the hill to Cavtat was pleasant and only took 15-20mins (as described in their details). There is also a local bus to and from Cavtat which stops an 8min walk from Villa Zvrko. There is a supermarket 2mins walk away with a good range of food and drink. The owners Jadrankar and Paula will help with car hire, local sightseeing trips and information about boat trips and watersports. The apartment has a cooker, hob, coffee maker, dishwasher and aircon. Cavtat has lovely bars and restaurants and many (rocky and pebbly) beaches with crystal clear water (buy a pair of swimming shoes to help you negotiate the rocks and sea urchins!). There are ferries and buses to nearby Dubrovnik and boat trips to local islands. The villa's pool makes a lovely end to a day on the beaches, allowing for one last cooling off before the end of the day. Paula and Jandrakar could not have been more helpful and they helped to make our stay totally stress free and relaxing! In all, Cavtat is a lovely, safe, pretty place with friendly people and good food and cocktails. It has a busy nightlife based on bars and restaurants (not noisy all-night clubs)- great for romantic getaways, small groups of friends and young families.
