Getting to Manarola:
The most convenient airports for the Cinque Terre are Pisa, Genova (Genoa), and Parma. Travel from the airport to Manarola is best by train, as vehicles are not permitted in the village however parking is available at the top of the village.

Local facilities :
Manarola has several excellent restaurants and bars, two pizzerias, an ice cream parlour and a cash machine. As a working village, it also has two small supermarkets and a pharmacy together with a selection of shops selling locally made gifts and produce.
Out and about:
The best way to discover the Cinque Terre is on foot, along the many paths through terraced vineyards and olive groves giving spectacular views of the sea. The five villages of the Cinque Terre, Riomaggiore, Manarola, Corniglia, Vernazza, and Monterosso each have their own unique identity, and a wealth of history to explore.
Further afield, La Spezia is the largest town in the area, and is reached easily by a 10 minute train journey. Portofino and Portovenere are good destinations for a day out by boat direct from the small harbour in Manarola.
