MAIGLÜCK is a delightful swiss chalet situated in one of the most beautiful valleys in Switzerland. Completely surrounded by mountains, it is in a wonderfully romantic setting just a short distance from the centre of ENGELBERG. This spacious and well equipped family house is in a very peaceful location and is superbly positioned for Winter Sports and Summer Walking.

This cosy CHALET is on three levels and has a large floor area of 180 square metres with sensational views from every window. It comprises a very spacious Living Room, separate modern Kitchen, Office/Reading Room, 4 Bedrooms, 3 Bathrooms and the laundry / washer drier.

The house has a delightful private garden with a sunny terrace to the rear for relaxing or enjoying the fantastic panoramic views across open countryside to the snow covered mountains beyond. All the rooms in the house are finished to a very high standard and are superbly equipped. On the ground floor, there is a very spacious Living Room with spectacular views towards the Titlis and the Hahnen (mountain of the angel), TV/Stereo/Radio and possibility of Internet access, a modern and fully equipped Kitchen, a Bathroom / Shower and a balcony. The lower ground floor comprises 2 Twin Bedrooms with a Shower and Toilet and the laundry / washer drier. The top floor has a Double Bedroom with a lovely view of the Titlis and a Twin Bedroom (Bunk bed) ideal for children, a Bathroom / Shower and a very useful Office / Reading Room. A Swiss delight!

Maigluck is a fabulous place to stay. We came across this property on the internet and found the booking process very simple and the owners to be extremely helpful. The accommodation is clean, spacious, well equipped and well laid out. We had four adults and two children in our party and everyone enjoyed themselves. The centre of Engelberg is a lovely 10 minute walk away and has all the amenities you require. Both the local swimming pool and the Eienwaldli were fantastic. We would especially recommend taking the cable car to Titlus, 4 meters of snow, fantastic, and the train journey to Lucern is not to be missed! We had an exceptional meal at the Schweizerhaus restaurant one evening and it was only a couple of minutes walk away. We would happily recommend this chalet and hope to return ourselves very soon. Large, Cozy, Well Located and Reasonably Priced

We were pleasantly surprised by the modern ammenities, all of which you could possibly imagine are there. Cozy features include a wood burning oven and quiant rooms.

The house was very clean and well-appointed. It is located very conveniently within apprx. 15-20 mins. walking distance to town and only a couple of minutes to the nearest free bus stop and a cute restaurant.

Reasonably priced and friendly owners. Wi-Fi internet a big plus.

All of this would definitely bring me back again!

Quiet Swiss Chalet with great open view

My fiancée and I stayed in this Chalet with her Family during our destination wedding in Engelberg. The Chalet is great, clean, well-maintained and has a good mix of modern and cozy Chalet features. Frau Rast was very helpful and accommodating with any of our needs during our stay. There is a nice flatscreen TV with plenty of Channels. One of the few things we missed was a basic Radio/Stereo in living-dining room - the Stereo that was there is wired to very old and broken speakers in the Kitchen and has no ability to plug in an iPod or any other MP3 Player. The other thing that was missing is a shower curtain in the middle bathroom and one last thing… a BBQ for the Summertime would have been a great addition. Overall we had a great stay at the Chalet and recommend the Maiglück Chalet to any of our friends.

Owner's Response: I’m always grateful for ideas to improve the standard of our Chalet. Since my family doesn’t have an ipod I didn’t realize that a docking station could be important for some of our guests.
The existing radio is to be used in the kitchen where it’s nice to have music while cooking, I admit, they are no high end speakers but is that necessary in the kitchen?
On both bedroom floors you have a shower-bathroom. With normal occupancy of 4-5 adults and some kids that’s adequate. In addition, on the kitchen/living room floor, you can even relax in a bathtub. The bathtub is meant to be used as bathtub because of the window.
Close to Maiglück you find a lovely public BBQ place and there are lot’s more around Engelberg. They are very well maintained and lots of fun.

Beautiful chalet!

Stayed here for 6 days. The apartment is perfect for a family with children ( whatever you can think you require is all there!).Very comfortable! Monica is a wonderful and an accommodating person. We definitely are going to stay here again when in Switzerland. The view from the apartment is amazing!

A perfect stay

Our family stayed for two weeks at this lovely home. We have three kids ages 8,11 and 15. The house was just right for our family. We had plenty of space for sleeping, eating and just hanging out. Like our kids said: This is just like home! The kitchen was well equipped. The view from the house was just breathtaking.

We will definitely be back.
