We stayed at this wonderful home for a week this past month of June. The setting is magical and Merethe and Matts have done everything to make it even better. The kitchen is huge and well stocked. There wasn't anything we needed that wasn't there in 1 of the many drawers.

The main living room was great with a large dining table, sitting area with 2 recliners that allowed you to look out on to the fjord as you read a book or simply daydreamed. There's even a small TV nook with satelite TV for the rainy days when you didn't feel like being outdoors.

Bedrooms were good and there was plenty of storage in the knee walls and hidden nooks of each room.

This place really shined with the out doors areas however. They have created 4 distinct out door areas to enjoy depedning upon what the unpredictable weather in the area is doing. The main qai and pier area is wonderful. There are sofas and seating areas and table to truly enjoy the view and the late day sun. Then there's a covered "summer kitchen" built above the water to cook and hang on the days when it's raining. Higher up is another area to hang when the wind is from the north that still catches the sun and allows you to be comfortable and away from the wind. Topping it off is a tent that can be turned into a "sweat lodge" if you choose to truly cleanse the body.

Since we aren't active boaters it did take a day or 2 to get our "sea legs" around the use of the boat to travel from the parking area to the house and by weeks' end we were completely at ease with this.

All and all a wonderful place for a great family get away!
