Fishing boats, engines and ghillies are available to hire by special arrangement. There are drying and storage for gear, baits, etc. In the locality there is easy access to multiple golf courses, horse-riding and trekking, walks, pubs, churches, etc. Babysitting services can be arranged in advanced. Newtowncashel is steeped in Irish History and the lake features several small but historic islands including Saints Island, Quaker Island and the Black Islands.
