Needs alot of home comfort

The layout of the home is great-master bedroom on opposite side of family room, with the three guest rooms on the other side, a huge kitchen. There is absolutely no comfort to this home- the pillows were extremely thin-not really functioning as pillows, dark colors for bed sheets, comforter-certainly doesn't depict sunny Florida. Cockroch bait traps were all over the home- true, we never saw any roaches. I would use a professional service instead of laying out the bait traps for guests. The globe lights in the bathroom let off so much heat you had to shut it off. It would have been much nicer to have a soft bathroom lamp in the bathroom on the large counter. We ended up taking the night stand bedroom lamp and putting it in the bathroom-so much nicer. The homeowners have not added any touches to the home-just try to rent the property on its location, which is indeed nice. It has a nice lakeview from the back patio. The pans in the kitchen really need to be replaced as we only found one teflon pan that wasn't scratched beyond use. There is no guide to the tv and we discover all of the televisions in the home have different channels. You have to use 2 remote controls for the tv in the main family room-one for volume, the other for channels. No directions for use-you have to figure it out. No convenience for renters. We inquired about the clubhouse card prior to renting and were told from the homeowners that the card would be provided by the management company upon check-in. No, it isn't And since we checked in after management hours on Saturday night, I called the after hours number provided by the homeowners as the welcome packet provided by the management company didn't give any numbers for outside their operating hours. The management company told me to just go to the pool area since it will probably be busy. When signing their registration papers on Monday, I attained the pool card. The bottom line to renting this home is that it is modestly decorated and doesn't offer any warm feeling. You are getting a home with a nice view of the lake and offers a pool. The homeowners need to understand there is more to renting a home in Florida than its lakeview. There are many home in Sabal Harbour that are rentable. I will add, however, that the pool table is nice to have as an option. I didn't like the area, particularly, and will look into other areas when we visit next time.
Owner's Response: Thank you for your feedback. I am disappointed that some aspects of our home did not meet your expectations. It is of course first and foremost our second home, and the home comforts are to our personal taste. We appreciate your feedback on the pillows, however there are a number of different styles and levels of firmness in the villa to enable you to choose what suits you personally. There are also spare new pillows in some of the wardrobes. The pots are used regularly by guests and if they are scratched I will arrange for them to be replaced. The bathroom lights are designed to provide the correct level of light while acting as a feature above the mirror. I am pleased to note that the insect traps are operating effectively if not particularly attractive. As you say there are many excellent features of the villa, including its size, layout, outlook, added facilities such as the games room. A large part of our business is repeat customers who love the area, easy access to the beaches, shopping and restaurants.
