The Chateau Bellevue is near Bordeaux and today run as B&B. The Villa can be rented separately on a weekly basis. The buildings were constructed in 1878 by an architect from the school of the famous Violet le Duc. It was sympathetically renovated with modern additional features including elegant bathrooms and under floor heating. The interior is decorated with modern paintings by the owner. It is warm in winter and cool and airy in summer. There are luxurious guest rooms. The ground and first floor comprise beautifully furnished spacious reception rooms with original fireplaces, marble and wood floors and elegant chandeliers. Presently arranged as dining room, salon and ballroom, they all have wonderful views over vineyards and the Gironde River. All views from the Château, terrace and gardens will leave a truly unforgettable impression. Since July 2009 there is a pool. Miles of sandy beaches and the famous chateaux of the Medoc are within easy reach via the ferry or by car.

Next to the Chateau Bellevue there is the 'Villa - Chateau Bellevue'. It's a beautifully transformed former coach house. It has 4 double bedrooms and 2 bathrooms on the first floor, an open-plan living and dinning area, modern guest toilet and laundry room on the ground floor. There is a private terrace in front of the house with garden, table and deckchairs. Access to the newly built swimming pool is available since July 2009.

The Château Bellevue with the 'VILLA' are in a most unique location. Ideal for romantic weekends, honeymooners and weddings. The totally private park is surrounded by a natural stone wall and provides complete privacy. The Château is situated on a small hill. The view is unrestricted to all directions, to the south you can see Bordeaux on the horizon and in the west you will find the Medoc and the Atlantic sea. The first French vineyard is said to be in Plassac, founded by the Romans about 2000 years ago. The house wine is the Bordeaux 'Château Bellevue – Premières Côtes de Blaye'. A local museum shows archaeological pieces of roman artwork and culture. For information and bookings please sent an email or call. The outdoor swimming pool is accessible now.

By the way, the beautiful architecture of this traditional French Château and the large very private gardens combined with spectacular views make a perfect setting for dramatic, musical and film productions. The swimming pool is finished since 7/2009.

Cooking courses, wine tours, modern art tuition: Cooking courses, wine tours and tasting, couses for modern art painting instructions, cycling, fishing, hunting and many other activiyies will be organised outside the main saison by our partner PROKYON workshops. Ski: The Pyrenees are about 3 hours south by car.

Absolutly superb castle and very friendly people. You must try the wine tour and the evening diner with their home made wine. Very good price value.

War nun schon oefter zu Gast im Chateau Bellevue in der Naehe von Bordeaux. Ein optimales Preis/Leistungsverhaeltnis, super freundliche Atmosphaere, wunderbare Gegend und eine traumhaft ruhige Lage.
