Beautiful house
We had a great time at this beautiful house. Rent lots of vacation homes and this was one of the nicest. Lots of room for all 15 of us. Plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms. Old Forge is a nice town to shop and eat. Although our favorite place to eat was SeaSons restaurant about 2 miles from the house. Excellent breakfast and we went for dinner and the food was awesome! Huge portions! We hiked Bald Mountian which has great views. It’s a short (about a mile) hike but rather steep in spots. Paddle boards, kayaks and canoes were a lot of fun. Water was really warm. Only Cons would be boat traffic/jet skiers was more than other lakes we’ve rented houses on. Also although we caught lots of rock bass, overall smallmouth bass fishing wasn’t great. We only caught a few nice smallmouth all week. Other than that we had a blast and would recommend this house! The owners are very helpful, friendly and communicate very well.

Wonderful camp for our family vacation!
The house is spectacular. We had 20 people all with plenty of elbow room. Bedrooms were beautiful and spacious. Kitchen worked for breakfast, lunch and dinner for all 20. Dinning on the screen porch was really special. We had great ping pong tournaments that all ages loved. The lake was clean and warm. The swim dock was lots of fun for everyone. We had a canoe, kayaks and paddle boards to use. We rented a ski boat for a couple of days, which they delivered and had a ball tubing! We highly recommended this camp for your next get together!

Beautiful, secluded lake house! Great for family reunions!
We just finished our annual extended family vacation. We are a large group of 22 members, across three generations. This house worked wonderfully for us. A lovely, large log cabin, with 9 bedrooms and beautiful rustic furnishings. The owners are very friendly and easy to work with. The house has plenty of places to interact with other family members or to have some quiet time to yourself. The kids loved the ping pong table on the ground floor. The long table on the screened in porch was perfect for our large group dinners and board games. The lake is pristine, with a small, but terrific sandy beach. Near the shore the water is shallow and perfect for our younger children. There is a floating dock where the water is deeper, which our teens and pre teens loved jumping off of. There is a canoe and a kayak we were able to use and plenty of life vests. The house is three levels, so there are stairs to each floor and down to the lake, which was fine for most of us, but a little difficult for others. Cell reception is limited, but there is wi-fi. We enjoyed visiting the town of Old Forge about 20 minutes away. Lots of cute shops, ice cream shops, mini golf, movie theatre, restaurants, super market, etc. We went to dinner at the White Lake Inn, which is 2 minutes from the house, as they could accommodate our large group. It has a casual pub atmosphere. The food was fantastic and the owner was extremely friendly and welcoming. Overall this was a great vacation spot, which we would highly recommend to others.

Cozy and Quiet Family Reunion- Great private location - Perfect House- Beautiful View
My family and I just had a great week long destination reunion trip at this awesome lake house. The lake was very private and mostly quiet (only a few neighbors on boats and some very friendly dogs) . We had 17 people and plenty of space. The house had gorgeous rooms (although one is a bit small) and views and is perfectly set up for games by the fire places on multiple floors, family meals inside and on the screened in porch, kayaking, canoeing, and fishing off of the 2 little docks, chats around the outdoor fire pit, and some major ping pong games as well. The house was clean and well organized with almost all the kitchen tools you would need plus a booklet of information left by the very friendly and responsive owners. We had a total of one small plumbing issue during the visit and they came out and fixed it asap! The town is small and quaint but had everything we needed with tons of activities and hikes in the area along with one awesome waterfall just 20 minutes away. The train ride was relaxing and the fire tower hikes are gorgeous. Be sure to check out the Adirondack Museum about an hour north with some great lakes along the way. Perfect place for a getaway or large gathering!

Wonderful!
We had mixed weather when we stayed here. We were surprised how warm the lake water was - we swam and the kids (teens and an eight year old) had canoeing adventures. There were plenty of life jackets. There is a small sandy/beachy area with chairs by the water - we expected the bottom of the lake to be rocky and hard on the feet, but even as you went into the water, it remained sandy. We did have a little rain, but there were plenty of board games. We came with extended family, three generations. There was something for everyone - plenty of room for people to get away from each other and have some space if they need it, but also bigger areas, so everyone can eat together in the kitchen or in the screened deck if they want to. It's the perfect combination of togetherness while still having your own privacy whenever you need it. Everything was very clean, and the kitchen was well-equipped. We did a lot of cooking on-site, although we also visited Old Forge, which was close by, and they had lots of restaurants and other things to do. The decor is amazing - solid pine and/or cedar everywhere, exposed beams in the ceilings, stone fireplaces. You feel like you are in a Swiss chalet or a Swedish lodge. Even furniture and furnishings have that resort-like feel to them. This place is obviously very carefully maintained.
