Kester's Kauai Cottage is a clean, fully-furnished, island-style, guest cottage on a beautifully landscaped property. Swimming pool and relaxing area right out side your window and private lanai. Come enjoy the high quality furnishings including 320-thread-count sheets and spa quality towels. The cottage is stocked with everything you need right down to beach chairs and coolers!

An outdoor shower for rinsing off all of the sand from your days of beach fun is located right outside your front door. You are invited to enjoy the tropical fruit growing on the property when it is in season as well as the Island goodies in your welcome basket. The cottage will also have fresh-cut tropical flowers, usually cut from our own gardens.

Island activities are close by in just about every direction from this conveniently located property and with on-site owners you will have a wealth of information on where to go and what to see if you need a little help. Come enjoy Kauai from this relaxing oasis nestled in the quiet hills just above world-class sunny Poipu Beach.

My wife and I just spent 10 wonderful days on Kaua'i. Our lodging for the entire stay was at Kester's Kauai Cottage and it was perfect for our needs.

Clean, comfortable, quiet and located in an ideal spot in a residential neighborhood on the south side of the island it is ideally situated for accessing all the island has to offer. Whether you head toward the north shore tourist areas or west toward Waimea Canyon and the mountains of Na Pali coast you are never more than 40 miles or so from your destination.

Renee's gift basket and warm welcome are the added extra special touches that make Kester's Kauai Cottage a great place to kick back, relax during your downtime on Kaua'i.

Wonderful, private, well provisioned, beautiful setting and extremely clean cottage. Thank you for all the special touches and attention to detail. High quality linens and towels, a very thoughtful welcome basket with specialty treats, and amazing locally made soap! We are here for a wedding and find this location central to everywhere we need to go...Poipu, Lihue, Kapaa, west shore and even up to Princeville. Regardless of your itinerary this is a terrific place to base your Kauai vacation out of.

Five star resort!!

Our family stayed here for three nights and it felt like we were in a five-star resort. The boys loved the pool and the location was great. We enjoyed the welcome basket of Hawaiian goodies. This place is super clean so if that's a priority for you, this is the place to stay! The cottage has everything and much more that you would need to make meals, have fun at the beach or sightsee. Renee has thought of everything and obviously takes pride in her vacation home. The Kesters are great hosts, very personable and knowledgeable about Kauai. We would absolutely recommend this vacation rental to travellers looking for a comfy place to stay, that is quiet and clean.

Quiet, private, excellent location... great deal!

Kester's Kauai Cottage was amazing! It is really hard to tell from the website how private the cottage is going to be, especially since it is near the main house, but I can tell you that we were pleasantly surprised... it honestly felt like our own house!

Renee was super friendly and kept the cottage SO clean. It was like having an amazing next door neighbor that you could ask for help if you ever needed it!

And the location!!! The location is really hard to beat, being about 15 minutes away from all beaches on the South Shore, but up in the hills so that at night it is quiet, away from all of the tourists.

Seriously, we plan on coming back to Kauai as soon as we can, and when we do, we hope to stay at this Cottage again!

Great for kids

This vacation rental was the perfect combination of comfort and casual. The rental is located on the property with the family who operates it and they are the most lovely people. They are available any time to give advice on activities, restaurants and beaches and have the "insider scoop"; but they somehow managed to make us feel like we were the only ones on the property. They have mastered the wonderful balance of being host, but being invisible when necessary. The rental has a great Kauai guide that we took with us everywhere we went. The house was clean and well stocked; decorated simply so a family with small children need not be intimidated about breakage. Having the pool, especially on the morning of departure so my kids could swim, but not be sandy and salty for the return flight was awesome! The pool is fenced and the owners have locks in place to help keep the swimming area secure. The house is near Poipu Beach and many tourist activities, but is far enough away and in a residential neighborhood so you feel like you can retreat to privacy and quiet. The whole island is populated by feral chickens and the roosters crow early, but otherwise the house was so quiet and dark at night. We had an amazing time being at this house and I definitely recommend it to young families.
